#Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Donal, who repeatedly promised me $4,000-10,000, is now offering me $989.16 when he already spent thousands and thousands on himself. Brutas made $39,000, which is equal to the amount that my 2 books Stardust and Trixie Cain brought in. Stardust and Trixie, which had more expenses, made me and the artist thousands of dollars. Donal objectively stole all my money.

EDIT: To clarify about Stardust and Trixie having more expenses: since those were 2 campaigns, that means I had double the printing costs, double the shipping expenses, double the postage, and even with paying rates for 2 books I still made $9,000 for myself off those 2 campaigns combined. This is theft to say only $989.16 is left for me.

Please tell me you brilliant logicians don’t have jobs in education. According to you economic geniuses my family of 4 have lived the last 2yrs on $35k.
And yet you're too corrupt and retarded to be able to release a single floppy in two years and would rather desperately big yourself up here than deal with customers like the ho ass bitch you are.

Your desperate attempt to put on airs and condescend dies the moment a high school autistic boy could do this twice and you could not a single fucking time.

I'm kind of blown away that Wenger still thinks Frog owes him an apology (mentioned at 2:16ish of the last stream). If anything, Wenger owes Frog an apology for what he did on that September 11th stream.

It begins at 3hr03m: https://youtu.be/Yp5FSx7o7Io

You can see on that show, he clearly knows Frog doesn't want to promote the book, but he pretty much just goes ahead and steamrolls it in there, cucking Frog on his own show.

He outright dismisses Frog, saying 'That's okay if you personally dislike it Ethan' and then just goes ahead and shills it anyway. You can see Parnell and Davis visibly flinch as he says this.

Frog sits there with a stony, frozen, wan smirk; one of the funniest facial expressions I've ever seen on the front his head. He's clearly caught between the proverbial rock and hard place of having to either fake enthusiasm for a crap comic to his audience, or publicly shit on his friend's crap comic as he tries to shill it without permission on his show. Faced with this intractable dilemma, Frog opts to turn off the camera and go sit on the toilet (I would assume he pees sitting down).

And Wenger claims he was humiliated! An example of projection if ever there was one. In truth, Frog was humiliated by the astonishing chutzpah of Wenger, coming on and using Frog's show to shill his terrible comic, in full knowledge that Frog himself didn't approve of the product and didn't want to promote it.

He basically raped Frog, and is now complaining that Frog humiliated him because he didn't feign pleasure during the rape.

But it's hard to have sympathy for Frog, since he brought this kind of thing on himself with his 'ponk' music rhetoric during the post-Doug era, which was Wenger's heyday. This is what you get with that rhetoric, Frog: no-talent bums, bad music and smashed instruments.

Hey @Fathead, did you neglect to inform "Accounting" of the $3500 you borrowed early on from campaign funds to pay for your personal expenses?

You owe the kid at least another $3500.

Are you retarded?

It's a day that ends in 'y', meaning donal has yet again incriminated himself.

A judge in a contract dispute will not care about any of the DM's he tries to present claiming harassment, libel, etc. That would be a separate action that Donal would have to pursue. And lose. It's not harrassment to demand payment for money owed, publicly if necessary.

He also doesn't seem to understand that once a lawsuit is filed he would have to give you copies of everything as discovery anyway.

Sue him. Make him show the public the receipts that prove he spent $37k making this book and shipping it. His texts saying how much he enjoys making you wait and suffer show intent and are enough to bury him. You could even claim damages beyond the 50% profit you're owed. Emotional distress, etc. Lawyers live for that.

On the subject of "expenses", earlier @Fathead and @FROG were going on about how duties like drawing the comic, though they weren't specified in Nasser and Donal's agreement, were just like paying for a letterer or colorist and implicitly expenses (that Donal was entitled to) that had to be taken into account before total profit was determined.

If this argument is to be accepted (and we have to assume that Donal paid himself for his labor after repeatedly declaring here that he would do so), it begs the question of why isn't the labor of the writer entitled to compensation like every single other aspect of this comic's creation when determining profit?

It's no surprise that Donal is begging for an NDA non-stop when his lies fall apart under the lightest scrutiny; we don't even need to pore over a spreadsheet to see this - merely just recall Donal's arguments made in the past that led him to this point.

That would be giving you a lot of credit. No, I think Amanda is the breadwinner of the household while you idly lie about on the couch 10 feet away from a crate of Brutas getting rained on. Maybe your ex-wife and her bull need to pay you an alimony. I don't know.

The initial $2200 used for personal expenses by Donal was to be an equal disbursement of profit.

The second withdrawal by Donal of IGG funds was $1,000, which was to be paid back into the funds after Donal did an art book that never materialized.

Donal owes that money to Nasser regardless of "page rates".

Found this old dm from donal. Let us update the numbers since the campaign made more in the time since this dm.

Brutas made $39,051 from 1,293 backers.

Indiegogo and Stripe take 8% plus $0.30 per backer.

$39,051 minus 8% is $35,926.92

Minus $0.30 x1293 is $35,539.02

That is our budget for the comic.

Print ninja (donal did not do expedited) is $3,557.82

Trading cards $680

Andrew Huerta $1,600

Kelsey Shannon $500

$2,915 for colors

$495 for letters

Gminis $843.15

Those expenses total to $10,590.97.

So $35,539.02 minus $10,590.97 is $24,948.05

We had $24,948.05 left to ship, and since 195 orders were digital, that’s 1,098 packages to ship, domestic as well as international!

1,098 packages, most of which are domestic. Let’s call 200 of them international.

898 domestic packages at $5 cost $4,490

200 at $25 cost $5,000

Total spent on shipping is $9,490

$24,948.05 minus $9,490 brings us to $15,485.05.

$15,485.05 split between 2 people is $7,729.025.

Where is my money, @Fathead?

Well Nasser it looks like you are left with two choices. You must sue or accept this paltry sum. Maybe someone more versed in law knows whether or not you have a chance of winning.

The only question left is will this scandal be enough to tarnish Cecil to where Donal has to leave the project, and if that happens, is it safe to assume that Cash Grab can now be considered a cursed IP?

I am looking into what legal options I have.

None of those numbers are accurate. Especially the amount of books printed & shipped.

But, to help with your little fantasy math. Here’s some obvious stuff you can add:

-campaign taxes to the IRS
-Taxes into the cost for printing & shipping to me
-Rob Willis’ cover
-Kyle Ritter colors for Willis’ cover
-Colors for a trading card
-Stickers
-Bags, boards, tape & bubble wrap for the books
-Paying handlers to package half the books
-Stamps.com expenses

None of that adds up to $13,506.73.

Why did you pay taxes on a business expense, Nasser's cut of the money?

If you had, say, $20,000 and Nasser was entitled to 50%, you're supposed to PAY NASSER $10K and then pay taxes on YOUR $10K. You don't pay taxes on the entire $20K yourself.

I didn’t say it did, Captain Obvious.

It’s an example of some of the shit you’re ignoring in order to lie. You didn’t even include refunds & you think you’re at all accurate?
The indiegogo total has not moved. You did not mark anyone as refunded.

I'm not lying about anything, all I'm doing is posting the expenses we know about.

If you've got nothing to hide then drop all of the accounting.

Also, way to incriminate yourself again. You said those totals did not add up to that amount; the only way wed get $989.16 each is if they did.

So what is really left? Where is my money?
