Skipped around a bit just to hear her segments, and… it was literally all business. Zero talk about diversity, inclusion or whatever, just building and promoting your campaign. She even said that it’s totally fine to prefer IGG and that you should choose the site that’s right for you and your budgetary needs.

About the only notable thing was that she suggested some useless “digital rewards” like playlists and recommendations near the end, however the rest of it appeared to be useful, if basic, advice.

(Also, this isn’t an official KS thing, it’s a roundtable discussion by some sort of small comic distribution site’s channel that she just took part in.)

Absolutely not, the problem is an American Comics problem, in France in 2019 was the first time an American Comics was not in the top 50 of the year.
From 2018 to 2020 the part of American Comics has dropped from 10% to 6%, we don't want bisexual lighting comics.
1/5 Books in France are Comics.

The last Asterix album sold 5.5 million copies.

Comic creators: try not to fuck up the intro to your character's cool weapon with a typo. This is from Deathshroud #1 by Chad Larsson and Canaan White. The weapon is meant to be called "The Reclaimer," but this is what happens when you don't proofread. There's even an editor attached, so I'm not sure what he was doing. The book as a whole was pretty solid and wasn't riddled with typos and grammatical errors like so many CG books are, so this was especially glaring. Canaan's art is unbelievable and it's a shame he's moving away from CG per today's news. In regards to value, I paid a total of $40 for this 22 page book that came with zero bonus content or extras, so take that as you will. I'd back a second issue at a lower price point. The Ryan Stegman cover is fantastic, though.

A systemic problem, except the most popular BDs and manga on that list you posted aren't completed series with a definitive ending. Rather, they are all long running, ongoing series. Asterix has been around longer than most Marvel characters, has been written by a handful of writers and continues publication to this date. Blake and Mortimer has been around since 1946. Dragonball has been around since the 80s and is no longer written or drawn by the original author. One Piece still has its original author, but has been in publication for nearly 25 years with no end in sight.

In other words, you're a fucking idiot. Nobody cares about endings. People want to read about characters they're familiar with going on fun and interesting adventures.

If American comics fail in any regard, its in not maintaining a single, understandable continuity. Constant reboots and relaunches aimed at casual readers lead to confusion when anyone tries to follow those characters for an extended period of time. Want to read a Batman book? Well, too fucking bad, Batman's black now, but also he's married to Catwoman and its year two, but also there have been six Robins and Batgirl used to be a grown woman but now she's a teenager for some reason. Whoops!

The whole MCU films should have led to an increase in sales, but someone coming to a book shop will not find the same characters.

You might want to check out the general comic thread over in off-topic, CG is a shell of what it once was and is now more of a boomer IBS thing, so trying to divert the thread back to SJW comic drama/news/general comic discussion doesn’t quite fit as well as it might have two or three years ago.

THIS. Every single fucking book I have bought from CG has come shot through with grammar, spelling and or general lettering issues. IT'S NOT FUCKING HARD. PROOF YOUR FUCKING BOOKS THAT YOU ARE SELLING FOR SIX TIMES THE RETAIL COST OF A BIG TWO BOOK.

There are YouTubers covering the shit you're crying about. I'm having a hard time figuring out why we should cry more about the sjw and the gays just because you're still mad about it. That isn't going to accomplish shit. As of right now, Preston the Peg King has provided us with more entertainment than crying about the comics industry. Mainstream comics is fucked. The chick that did fat Starfire daughter? They made her the writer for upcoming Batman comics, so good fucking luck not watching your favorite superhero getting shat on.

DC doesn't care, and your French tier faggotry is not going to change anything. The only way is to let the business fall by not supporting it. I'm all for mocking the Mainstream when they do or produce something stupid (Fat Starfire/Wonder Woman, Gotham High, New Warriors, etc). But as of right now, nothing has been more entertaining and funny than Liam Gray's antics and the flailing of Preston and his orbiters - with Preston himself threatening to sue everyone, including the farms.

There are some european comics that are masterpieces and appealing to a diverse audience. Belgofrench, British (before every creative went to the US) and Itallian works. But, as with most comicbooks, there is also a lot of trash that remains untranslated/obscure. Hell, I am eagerly awaiting for the final album of the French Elric comics that even Moorcock praised for the changes it made to the stories.
Much of the problems in US comicbook industry stem from trash being very visible to lure in tv/movie adaptations, while good comics remain obscure.

When the pencils down situation was happening, I have noticed a change of tone with some contributors.
Here we have a chat with Renfamous and them mentioning kiwifarms.
Those people are the enemies of comicsgate, not any other people, this is not a thread about infighting, you made it so.
I will drop something Thursday because it is important, to me and I think to the community at large.

We do still keep up with the mainstream but with all due respect, we didn't turn this thread into a circus, rather Comicsgate itself turned into a circus and we merely report and comment on it.
