When the pencils down situation was happening, I have noticed a change of tone with some contributors.
Here we have a chat with Renfamous and them mentioning kiwifarms.
Those people are the enemies of comicsgate, not any other people, this is not a thread about infighting, you made it so.

I disagree. All movements, if successful, eventually change focus from simply recognizing that there is a problem to deciding what to do about that problem (which is accepted as fact at that point), and then how to go about doing it. If discussion was limited only to the latest trash comic by Stephanie Cooke or whatever set to the tune the click revenue of some youtuber, Comicsgate would be an unmitigated failure.

There's no shortage of content being made out there by Comicsgate and related people reacting to the corruption and degradation of the mainstream comic industry like what you want.


If you like there's a half hour of Just Some Guy reacting to how Nubia sucked, and if that wasn't enough hating Nubia for your dopamine receptors there's another 45 minutes by Ya Boi Zack if you like. Me personally, all I need to do is look at the cover and the name of who made it to decide I have no interest in it. I don't need over an hour of material picking it apart to validate my decision. The only thing I'd get out of watching the videos would be the entertainment of watching long-form comic book criticism, which has its limits.

But I can realize that not all content is meant for me. They're meant to show someone new who simply follows comics that they aren't imagining things, that there is a problem and any suspicions they might held personally are real. And that some of these people might be convinced to do something about the problem and go from simply reacting to terrible comics produced by the American mainstream (which by itself is useless) to seeking out and lending their support to alternatives and solutions (like Comicsgate, which is theoretically useful). So I recognize they're performing a valuable service, even if in my case and many of the people here who hopped on a long time ago it comes off as preaching to the converted.

So that's why what I watch, and therefore what I post about, isn't usually in reaction to what's going on with Gail Simone or IFLC or whatever this week. If you want to cover that material and save us the trouble of watching, I'd greatly appreciate it. I actually agree with you that, with most of its infighting being resolved, it's a good time to start turning attention towards the mainstream once again. But coming in here getting all hostile with everyone and trying to "derail back" the conversation everyone else is having to what you think it should be and getting hostile with other posters as infiltrators isn't going to go over well.
