True enough, but it's not what Picolo did differently than the CG model that makes it a one time trick. Like so many CG creators he got the money and didn't focus on getting the work done. The work he did wasn't up to the standard he's capable of or was expected to provide. And his updates and email replies haven't been consistent or professional. He took other work rather than focusing on getting the project done. That's all typical CG.

Had he taken the TenNaple route, getting the work he raised money for done on the deadlines he set for himself, focused on making it the best work he could and over delivering on the physical quality of the books and packaging he would have every opportunity to repeat his success from the first crowd fund. That model is working well for a few ex-CG now.

His problem isn't what he did differently than ComicsGay. It's what he did the same.

This definitely makes Matt Bahr seem like a bit of a retard. He should take Zack's advice and just get off twitter. At least someone was attempting to engage with the audience on his behalf, though. The Trash Compactor Show detailed Jon Malin's Twitter Spergout in their own...inimitable way.

Highlights were

* Documenting the high class response by team Rags. Team Rags besties like Richard Pace were just excited for a swimsuit issue. Team Rags has the best friends don't they. Even including Renfamous!

* The Etsy Boyz then proceed to ask @NasserRabadi13 what he thinks of Jon Malin giving absolute faggots like Brian Ball and Liz a chance to dunk on CG. (My words). Nassar simps for his daddy good.

@FROG did a livestream with Malin where it came up.

* Jon comes in at the 39 minute mark. Ethan announces he is on Jon's side. Seriously?

* Ethan relates how original and brilliant the cover idea of a woman in a bikini on a snowmobile...

Matt Bahr had to learn it the hard way but it was a lesson he had to learn for his own good. It starts with watching someone close out their crowdfunding campaign by playing the Legend of Zelda for 5 hours straight, all the while the idea of making "content" like this becomes normalized and before you know it you're on a stream with DarkGift Comics droning on about the household chores he did that day or his favorite bunt cake recipes into the long hours of the night to single digit viewers. Matt Bahr deserves better than that cruel fate.
