Telling a person they're no longer welcome in your house is quite different than trying to get that person kicked out of their own house.
There's a distinct difference in a boycott (I will not support X) vs today's concept of "cancelling" (I will not support X and will try to make sure it's impossible for anyone else to support it).
MechaRandom fell out of TFMs good graces and they no longer have her on their channels. That's their right. She can publicly complain about her grievances and other people can laugh at her. She still has her platform and she is as free to talk about whatever she wants as she always has been. Nobody is cancelled.

The cguk shows are structured kinda like this where everyone is expected to bring their own preprepared "bit" and "do" seven to ten minutes each.

It ain't just reading the news though. Everyone does their own things, to their own strengths but all united and tied together under one common theme.
