No mention of the Captain America film with Italian Red Skull? Shame.
Or this...

Yeah, it was conceived as a toy line, but Mattel did a comic book tie-in beginning in 1981, and D.C. picked it up in '82. That was even before the Filmation cartoon we all know (1983).

I'll say Frank Langella was a decent Skeletor. He really tried. And uhhh... yeah... that's about it.

The 90s had a rush of this shit.

Here's a head scratcher:
Would you rather buy into any CG affiliated campaign that's going on right now...
OR
The novelization of Howard the Duck? Available from this site for $6.99.
I might actually spring for the novel. 🤣
Seems like your 'best value'

I'm pretty sure everyone gets a pass for 2008, 1984, 1972.
Putting a "community organizer" in the White House doesn't get a pass for Republicans even if he's running against Satan, which seems he likely was.

Thing was Cummings and Doug Ernst were boring as fuck. YBZ, Mim Headroom and JSG were fun to watch and they grew to be the faces of CG.
Yep. And what do you get when a "movement" centers itself around an entertaining personality instead of the grievance or goal it was founded on?

You get people pretending THOT the Wizard, Gash Crabs, Starlight Shats and 499 are worthwhile projects because the personalities run the show and "the movement" is a distant memory.

You get a "community" to laugh at instead of a "movement" to get behind.

ComicsGate is gayer than two guys fucking.

He-Man comics never amounted to shit. The toys and cartoons drove the franchise and the comics were still born for DC and Marvel.

Speaking of gay.

I barely remember buying this trash 1st issue. I must have thought it was going to be worth something because I wasn't a fan or maybe I liked that day-glo cover. 🤮

Maybe if Larry Hamma had written them...

Thank God Nick Cage Superman never happened.
Cage and Burton still got paid $10m a piece for it. The 'getting paid bigtime' bit still happened, for them, somehow!

One of life's mysteries.

The documentary about it is pretty funny though, 'The Death of Superman Lives : What Happened?' It's quite a fascinating window into Hollywood douchery, the shitshow anecdotes from the writers and concept artists are pretty interesting.

Also Cage's Clark Kent was no less fascinating:

..says Cage, to which Burton responds "No! Teeheehee!"

Burton then says:

and at "science fiction conventions" he breaks up laughing again, tee hee hee!

Update: Just to bring it back to CG, how about this:
Trent Kaniuga on Proko!
So now a CGer/All Capstronaut has landed on planet Proko, that's nice to see.

now that I think of it, anything with Tim Burton involved in it I will watch.
Even the musicals? I tried his Sweeney Todd film, not knowing it was a musical, and at first I was like wow, this looks awesome! But then they started singing and I was like oh, no, no, and I switched it off. I might try it again one day - on mute.

Also, I'm not sure if this got reported yet, or if it got lost in the kerfuffles of recent weeks, but we recently got confirmation that after two glorious seasons, Preston Poulter's 'Last Week In Comicsgate' show has been self-cancelled:

So, win for us.

There was something ironically satisfying about the last show covering the release of Red Rooster. Mitch finally releasing
that book was sort of an epilogue to the comicsgate of 2018. I would suppose he
had to end the show due to the lolsuit making it difficult to talk about @FROG.

The show had kind of run its course anyway. The current drama around CG seems
to involve marginal people with issues that don't fit into the simple narratives that LWIC
lived off of.

During a long Trash Compactor Show yesterday, Testefy went over his list of grievances with Stu/Soy Rage as a participant/performer.
The summary highlights were:

- He was prone to periodic drama-related breakdowns behind the scenes.
- He became impossible to schedule for the show (the trash compactor)
- He would go over the line in terms of edgy racist comments
- He was a high maintenance drama queen behind the scenes.
- He went overboard on his gay romance comedy gimmick with Nasser to the point where it became repetitive and unfunny.

DA Talks sniped from the chat for a while doing "inside baseball" stuff that was difficult to parse.

Saggy Melonz/Rei/Charlie showed up in the chat to bitch at Testefy. Testefy seemed
disinterested in going another round with her that night and got rid of her quickly.

Testefy expressed alignment with Doomcock in the Fandom Menace Wars.

By his own reasoning, he could be sued for saying mean things on the internet!

He was prone to periodic drama-related breakdowns behind the scenes.
I can't say that he ever had any type of drama-related breakdowns that I've seen, and I've been on two servers with the guy for almost a year. Ever since his "bnreakup" with Pangea about a month or two ago, nothing from him in that department. If this was a common occurrence I think we would have seen it happen.
He became impossible to schedule for the show (the trash compactor)
It's fucking amazing what happens when you work a job that schedules you for different shifts every week.
He would go over the line in terms of edgy racist comments
So has Testefy. Anyone remember the Hitler stream?
He was a high maintenance drama queen behind the scenes.
Well yeah, he's a fucking lispy queer. But it's amusing that Testefy would say this, because the guy brought his drama to other servers. The only reason we know about this shit is because he banned Stu from Pangea, then decided he'd air his grievances with him in the Legion of the Damned Discord server, going so far as to call Stu a child predator alongside Preston (I detailed that in a previous post this past weekend as well as streamed the text chat). Also, despite claiming he "apologized" he never did; his "apology" consist of "if" he called him a child predator. I'd also argue that him attempting to rewrite history beginning on Saturday to say he never called him one but said that he associates with John Lamont and Preston Poulter--whom Testefy refers to as child predators--shows he isn't sorry, contrary to what he claims. This was one of the most tiring things about the guy. You can even watch a few streams from just this weekend where Testefy just shits it up by bringing his drama to it randomly.
He went overboard on his gay romance comedy gimmick with Nasser to the point where it became repetitive and unfunny.
Ironic he called it "repetitive and unfunny", considering his entire schtick of "this stream isn't entertaining, bring me on" got old real quick, and he was told that. he continued to do it for several months afterwards, and people tolerated it because you tend to be a bit more patient and tolerant with the mentally retarded. Sure, he dropped it, but he then started beating into the ground other unfunny shit by overusing it. More to the point it looks like Nasser and Stu will be doing their own show together, and the audience seems to enjoy their dynamic. Take that as you will.
DA Talks sniped from the chat for a while doing "inside baseball" stuff that was difficult to parse.
There was a lot of "I have the receipts but I'm not going to show them" shit from Testefy last night. Again. Simple Jack even called him on that. It's a repetition of his claim over the weekend that Vikki and Dean were in his server asking for legal help--because if there's one person I want legal advice from it's the guy with less legal success than Nick Rekieta, though to be fair unlike Nick Testefy has seen the inside of a courtroom. When told to put up or shut up his claim changed to "I can show the server logs that show they were in the server." it's all bark, no bite from him.
Saggy Melonz/Rei/Charlie showed up in the chat to bitch at Testefy. Testefy seemed disinterested in going another round with her that night and got rid of her quickly.
Yeah, he timed Rei out quickly, and he banned me when I reminded him that he was saying he has proof that Vikki and Dean were asking him for legal advice in his server, after Simple Jack made the proper claim that Testefy enjoys claiming he has dirt on people and receipts, but when told to put up or shut up he says, "Naw, I don't think I will, but I have them" like he's TUG or Yellowflash. or War Campaign. As Vikki said, you can take the retard out of War Campaign, but you can't take the War Campaign out of the retard. Even after blocking me he said I could "come on to talk about it". I spent 20 minutes in the greenroom and he actively ignored me. The guy's a real John Michael Kelly, blocking people in his chat and then saying you can go on and "talk" to him and then hiding from an actual person who isn't going to roll over after thirty minutes so his feelings aren't hurt too bad.

He went overboard on his gay romance comedy gimmick with Nasser to the point where it became repetitive and unfunny.
Well, Testefy knows a thing or two about running a joke straight into the ground and through the Earth's molten core.

But hey... the fact that he's grasping at other straws, with respect to Stu, is probably the closest thing to an acknowledgement we'll get from him that claiming Stu is a "child predator," and likes Cuties, was a big "oof" on his part. It did wonders for his credibility.

you mad bro?
I can't possibly imagine why she would be. Oh, wait...

"I hope [Preston] takes her for every goddamn dime she has, and she's in a fucking alleyway by the end of the goddamn week." - @TESTEFY-HD.

When this lawsuit dropped, I mentioned in this very thread that anybody who backs Preston over @FROG because they don't like Ethan should drink bleach. I know Ethan has alogs, so it seemed like a good idea to encourage them to try and be objective in this one case. It never occurred to me that I would have to say the same thing about Vikki and/or Dean. Yet, here we are.

Cpt, Manning, have you told Vikki what you said about her and the way she was acting less than a week ago?

your attitude has seemed to change since then.
