So far we've already had one leftist congresswoman claim there's a white supremacist problem on Campuses. It's interesting as so far you have left speakers saying that there is indeed a problem on campuses, but don't want congress to get involved and see colleges as being able to handle themselves ok. There's a view among them that yeah there's a violent leftist movement on campuses BUT what about those white supremacists posting hateful stickers on campus?

For instance Dr. Zimmerman said things like STEM dissing liberal arts and minorities being ignored is a reason post-modernism became a thing in liberal arts again.

Special guests include:

Ben Shapiro
Adam Carolla
Head of the Anti-Defamation League, Mr. Laurence
Ms. Strossen of NYU Law
Dr. Zimmerman, College Administrator at Evergreen College
Southern Poverty Law rep. (edit: misheard, they were just bringing up articles by them.)

More hearings are being scheduled, they look to have students testify at the next one.

Why not fire all these problem professors, and expel the bitchy millennials in the first place? They're the ones responsible for this madness, not free speech. They need a freakin backbone.
I would assume a lot of universities are doing just that. It seems to be the same universities that pop up in these stories over and over.
Even if like 99% of universities cut out the cancer there would always be a few more interested in those sweet tuition checks and willing to take in the people who cause these problems at the expense of their reputation or whatever.
Anyway I find it interesting this reached congress. Sometimes it's hard to tell if issues are just being overblown here and not real issues outside of the internet, but if actual adults are talking about this, I guess it's a big enough deal.

I remember when it was stuffy old rich people like congress who were a threat to free speech.

How times have changed.

Colleges were known for promoting free speech back in the 1960's and 70's. Berkeley was even considered the birthplace of the campus free speech movement. Only problem was that now we know the people advocating for free speech were communists and socialists that wanted it so they could spew propaganda on campuses to gather followers and now that they're in control they're trying to lock it all down so they don't lose their influence.

So, what is the goal of this hearing?
Discussing the issue of millennials wanting to ban speech they don't like, why it's happening, to find out how to solve the issue of staff and professors banning speakers/views they don't agree with and why colleges are letting students riot and control the message on campuses.
Yeah, it seems like an open dialogue to address issues that have been suppressed for so long. If anything, just getting to speak out against this stuff is probably really rubbing their metaphorical hemorrhoids raw (all that butthurt).

I bet the Southern Poverty Law Center rep is a real treat.

Southern Poverty Law actually wasn't there (I misheard, they're brought up though) ADL was there. There were three congresswomen, Rep. Demings, Rep. Plaskett and Rep. Norton in particular who were really obsessed with going on about "white supremacist stickers" being pasted on one campus and this incident: http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/17/us/american-university-bananas-nooses-hate-crime-protests/index.html as evidence there's a massive white supremacist problem on campuses and that the colleges were right in "being cautious" about what they called hate speech.

Some highlights:
  • 30:10- is where Rep. Demings gives opening statement. Talks about her past and how she defended KKK rallies as law enforcement, but then goes on to mention the above things you'll hear a lot about.
  • 1:28:20- Rep. Demings and Laurence of the ADL masturbate each other over the right wing threat on campuses.
  • 1:34:24- Chairman of the hearing, Rep. Palmer calls out the ADL guy for bullshitting on his written testimony about an anti-semetic incident at a Michigan campus, which ADL attributed to a college Republican, when it wasn't even a student that did it. He didn't clarify this on the written statement.
  • 1:58:35- Rep. Norton starts rambling, @Null "PART AND PARCEL" she takes a shot at Ben Shapiro, she gets mad that free speech works both ways, ree's at Wisconsin for standing up to the college issue "if you leave this to legislators they only have the law, at their disposal".
  • 2:14:31-Rep. Plaskett speaks and starts fapping with the ADL guy, brings up critical race theory, argues at Ben Shapiro, reveals she believes in the white privilege bs.
  • 2:23:31-Rep. Meadows of North Carolina goes full interrogation on Dr. Zimmerman of Evergreen College and Laurence of ADL and dishes out some scaldings.

I know these guys most likely live in gated communities in New York and LA but I'd love for them to come to rural Wisconsin and attend one of the many Polish/German heritage festivals they have around here. It would blow their minds to see white people doing something other than being ashamed of their race.

College is where you are supposed to be exposed to new ideas. How can you learn anything valuable when dangerhairs are trying to shut down everyone who triggers them?

Let them open their own college. I assure you every graduate will be working at Walmart or McDonald's in due time.

It's really disappointing to see college students pretty much asking for their personal growth to be stunted because feelings.

I used to go to this polish festival every year. And in later years I was surprised how many non-whites started to attend. So far I haven't seen any REEEEing over European heritage festivals and I'm actually kind of surprised.

I believe that all those bananas and nooses are either the work of a troll or some SJW trying to further their agenda. Plus it got the Pee Oh Cees plenty of special attention such as a cafe being turned into a safe space and being allowed to postpone exams. It's not like a racially charged assault or murder occurred. no one was gonna get banana lynched for this. It's either a stupid prank or an SJW plot.

Nothing good will come of anything that happens in the parliament of whores that is Congress.

Ding Ding Ding we have a winner. Everyone always whines that Congress is constantly gridlocked but I actually prefer it that way. There's a long and well documented history that shows that whenever Republicans and Democrats all get together and agree on something it's usually terrible for the American people.

For example

The Patriot act
Iraq and Afghanistan
Common Core
Civil asset seizure
Wall Street bailouts

So there's a bunch of talk about white supremacist stickers?

How about antifa bikelocks? Do they discuss bikelocks at any point?
Nope. They've stacked the entire hearing with crazed lefties because most reasonable congress folks had better things to do.

It's literally a REEEEEE filled echo chamber of lefties whining about "White Supremacists", bitching that people besides them have freedom of speech, and quoting bullshit SPLC "Studies" that show all non-dangerhair-controlled colleges being hate-spewing racist factories.

In short: This is kangaroo court.

Congress bitching about the fact we have a Constitution and they can't just randomly change it every time they have bowel problems literally goes back to the 18th Century immediately after we established that whole Constitution thing.

Centuries of bitching later, they haven't managed to abolish the Bill of Rights they hate so much.

It's almost like our founders thought up a pretty good system. :drink:

I have a lot of respect for the founding fathers for realizing that inevitably people are going to vote complete and utter retards into office and safeguards were needed to prevent those aforementioned retards from sending the country on the slow bus straight to hell.
