Since most of you seem to be liberal, i figured you'd enjoy this page. http://www.conservapedia.com/Main_Page

It's completely legit. a page that bashes Rush Limbaugh and Bill O Reilly as being too liberal. My current favorite quote is below.

"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."

I've heard of Conservapedia before. Man, that's some extreme conservatism to consider Fox News too liberal. I'm glad nutters like these are an extreme minority, otherwise we'd still be in the dark ages.

From what i've heard to some extent a lot of the articles are written by trolls pretending to be that Conservative. And that the owner of the site eventually went so ban-happy on people he thought were trolls... that he ended up banning all of the less extreme Conservatives (you know, the non-trolls.)

Yeah. They've grown really paranoid about trolls. And as a surprise twist, the guy who did most of the banning (until his death) was likely a troll himself.

I've always thought that there's a lot of similarities between CWC and Andy. "Y'all should know me by now. I'm Andrew Layton Schalfly. THE original creator of Conservapedia..." He went to Harvard. A fellow by the name of Obama was his boss in Harvard Law Review. Schlafly only had a simple dream of instructing homeschooled children in church basement and running True and Honest Encyclopedia Website. Nobody knows what happened to that Obama fellow, I think he runs a country or something these days.

Also, Andy is probably dead and has been replaced by a robot.

These are the people who want to rewrite the Bible, because apparently a murderous invisible psycho in the sky who makes Stalin look like Pee Wee Herman is too liberal.

It's good these people have somewhere to go to share their mental illness.

Ah conservapedia, the trusworthy encyclopedia. As someone who has observed the site since it's inception, and done fairly deep research on CP for a debate on fundamentalism a few years ago, I think CP is pretty much the perfect example of a gestalt lolcow entity, being the unholy fusion of half a dozen of the most insane, spiteful, self righteous, delusional, and just plain idiotic fundies imaginable, and literally thousands of dedicated and casual trolls, wandles, and parodists who have collectively accelerated the 5 or 6 "true believers" into further inanity and psychosis.

The site also shows just how insane and drunk with "power" the founder's ability to block anyone different from his little realm makes him, since he has been pretty much left in an echo chamber of fundie bullshit where already idiotic worldviews can only get more deranged, with examples of inanity such as the him declaring that black holes are a liberal conspiracy to stop people reading the bible being pretty much a daily occurrence.

Here are some links to get a good view of the story of that site and it's founder.

And I leave you with 2 conservapedia quotes from the FSTDT top 100 quotes of all time

"Another striking example is the how traditional marriage provides a greater set than otherwise: the union of A = {a, b, c, d} and B = {a, b, c, e} is merely {a, b, c, d, e}, while the union of M (man) = {a, b, c, d} and W (woman) = {e, f, g, h} is {a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h}, which is a broader and more diverse set."
(on how mathematics prove gays are evil)

"There's a broader point here. Why the big push for black holes by liberals, and big protests against any objection to them? If it turned out empirically that promoting black holes tends to cause people to read the Bible less, would you still push this so much?"
(on the above mentioned theory of evil bible hating black holes)

It was probably a troll, but in the article for creationism, they said animals were distributed after Noah's Flood by volcanoes in the Mt. Ararat region

"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."

I'm sure you all know this, but Pat Robertson is the original creator of that quote.

Any ounce of conservative spirit left in my body was crushed after reading Conservapedia. Thanks conservapeida ( you terrorists).

I figured Mitt Romney's hilarious poll showings would have done that.

Yeah, that too. Actually, the act of me considering that conservatives might have any good points at all is what crushed it. It's a little unjust to say Conservapedia acted alone.

If you ask me the biggest problem with those who call themselves Republican is all the god damn double talk. Their whole strategy is "say one thing, do another, hope nobody notices." Democrats have an issue with it too, but no where near as bad.

How funny, just when I was wondering if making a conservapedia thread or not... nevermind, in spite of all I want to ask about the trusworthy encyclopedia, I just want to ask you guys first if other than Assfly, there is a single non troll contributor?

Welp, I read a bit of the "Conservative" page on Conservapedia. Apparently, conservatives support federalism.

Yeah... I'm just gonna sit here and debate on if I should laugh or cry.

And one of their admins ended up being a troll all along.

From what I can tell, most of the "old guard" members are non trolls as shown by their gleeful obsession with pushing fundie ideology elsewhere and their continued loyalty to assfly long after the joke got old. This pretty much covers members like Jpatt, Karajou, and Ed Poor. Terry Hurlbut especially is arguabbly even more dangerously insane than andy given the fact he is actively praying for the apocalypse so he can rule as overlord of the NJ wasteland with his trusty personal generator. You can check his blog out here for laughs and an inordinate amount of facepalming

http://www.conservativenewsandviews.com

Ken however is probably the old guard member most enigmatic. Either he is a very, very, very, dedicated and pathetic troll who has been doing it for over 10 years accross the internet before focusing on CP (posts of his dating back to 2000 have been found) or someone with rather severe schizophrenia of some kind. To be honest though there is no conclusive proof either way.

I don't like the whackos from either side of politics. For me, the "social justice" morons are just as bad as the likes of Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh etc.

Same, but there seem to be more conservative morons than liberal. Either that, or the conservative ones are praised among their group as opposed to social justice "warriors" that stay obscure and nameless. Still, I like to stay away from the crazies. Stools don't have feelings ffs, and being barely below the poverty line isn't, "filthy stinking rich," especially in comparison to someone who probably posted that from an iPad.
