Pretty informative without getting annoyingly edgy, but I disagree with the ending bit about Oskar not really representing the Nazis. It's a logical endpoint of an ideology that dehumanizes people by their origin, to have them treated like livestock.

And neo nazi faggot have no right to go "muh Weimar Republic" and have the government condone worse shit than even the biggest exaggerations of that time.

Also, it is a myth that Germany was crushed by war reparations , They never paid a penny of those and in fact got low interest loans from other countries to help them pay the reparations which they never did payback.

Hitler took power when he did because the German economy was recovering so well from the shock it had been dealt by the depression that he said 33 was the last year the NAZIs would have enough support to make a play for power because once Germany finished recovering people would have no reason to vote for Nazis.

The Nazis murdered German civilians and then placed the bodies of murdered Polish civilians in military uniforms at the scene just so they would have an excuse to invade Poland and take the wheat and gold they needed to keep Germany from collapsing due to the Nazi's social programs bankrupting the country.

The fact is the Nazis spent half a decade murdering any Germans who got in their way before the war started, including other Nazis who committed the crime of saying Hitler should do the the things he promised to do to get elected once he was elected.

Anyone who says the Nazis were not brutal socialist monsters who saw no value in human life has no idea what they are talking about.
