How the fuck do you throw your marriage away for this? TPD(total pagan death) now.

I'm trying to remember one of our fellow kiwis here who's Native Hawaiian. I don't remember what his username is but he has talked about all the problems there in the past. So I wonder what his take on this. Can someone help me out here?

WHO DARES SUMMON ME?!?
Because I was stuck in gridlock traffic on the H-1 and my 2002 Corolla's AC hasn't worked in almost ten years and it's got to be fucking over 90 degrees out there, so tanks cuz!

Okay, so just watched this while finishing a couple beers. My reactions?
First off, I don't think he pronounced a single Hawaiian word correctly, but every incorrect pronunciation was one I've never heard before.
Secondly, his research was pretty tight. He has some details wrong, but the overall picture? 100% correct.

Finally, his conclusions are cutting and incise. What is happening to the West right now starting in the 1960s, is what happened to us starting in the late 1800s. We were demographically replaced and lost whatever political power we had once we were a minority. Our culture was assimilated, with huge chunks ripped out and replaced by new things from elsewhere or complete fabrications, all stitched together to create a product to sell to others. Our language was lost to the vast majority of us. Even our bloodline was lost. I have more knowledge of Hawaiian culture and traditional mores than most, but like most self-identified Hawaiians, even from the countryside like myself, I'm more European and Asian in genetics than Polynesian.

The one thing I have to say? The video does not truly convey how fucking dire and hopeless it is here for those of us who are here. While we're not at Indian reservation levels of bad, it's bad. Real fucking bad, and in my near 50 years of life, I've just seen it get worse. I really want to talk about it in detail, but it's a massive power-level.

If I could summarize it all in a single sentence, it's that Hawaii is a decaying plastic paradise, that underneath beats a heart of darkness.

I shouldn't need to explain this, but the highest population on the hawaiian islands is people of filipino descent. Many mixed race people are part filipino but don't admit it due to how asians don't like them.

My cousin is hapa, white and asian, and in total denial of being part filipino.

That's because being Filipino comes with the rep of being FOB, and Filipinos are social climbers. They'd rather their kids marry someone outside their race who makes a lot of money or is high status than another Filipino, when it comes down to it. Also Filipinos are aggregated as a unified mass outside the Philippines, but in reality, they're highly divided by region and language, complete with negative stereotypes about each other. Outside the Philippines it's impossible to keep a unified cultural and linguistic identity, because it really doesn't exist within the nation. You are a Tagalog, or a Bisaya, or a Cebuano. If you're from the city, you want nothing to do with those from the boondocks, and vice versa.

The linguistic diversity means diaspora communities all end up speaking English to each other as common tongue. If they weren't a Catholic nation surrounded by Muslims and Buddhists and Communists, they'd all be at each others throats within the nation.

Anyways, given that, and the fact that they don't tend to have much economic or political power, their demographic size really means nothing in big picture here. If anything, 2nd and 3rd gen Filipinos tend to move on to the mainland in high numbers. There's nothing to keep them here.

They aren't particularly hated, though. If there's a demographic that the other groups universally shit on, it's the Micronesians (particularly the Chuukese) and Marshallese. Oh, and blacks. It really sucks to be Black here because Asians and Pacific Islanders don't have any of the racial guilt that plagues whites and will put up with zero of their usual antics. They'll take the reggae and hip hop, but will do without the people who invented it.
