Jobs was the head of the NeXT and Apple, which ran like cults both internally and externally, but no, pancreatic cancer is just extremely aggressive and rarely responsive to treatment.
 
Douhkobors are a Russian Christian cult that settled in British Columbia, Canada. They're weird and most notable for making their women push their field implements, instead of having horses/oxen do it. The Canadian government actually went after them at some point but, due to the constitution, nothing could actually be done.

In Canada, instead of Amish, they get Hutterites. They have little colonies in the rural parts of the prairies. The woman all have to dress alike, and different colonies have different patterns/colors of dress they're allowed. They also wear headscarves. The men seem to have more freedom but they always have beards and often wear black felt hats (we call them hutterite hats). Hutterites always travel in massive SUVs (think Nissan Armadas), often buy whole pallets of product from local costcos, and live kinda like regular society beyond the weird, culty aspects. They also steal something horrible, my dad remembers working at a feedmill in the 80s and they stole a few pallets of feed that wasn't actually for sale because it was contaminated... i know a few people who escaped the colony and apparently it's hellish. Also, they often have accents and speak mostly a weird basic germanic language.

I've also seen another cult but only a few times in central Alberta, and only a few years back. No one knows who they are but the woman wear small hair coverings of white fabric, white floral print dresses (pattern used varies) and they cannot speak in public. Even the kids are dead silent. The men dress normally (if you consider jeans, ariat cowboy boots, and plaid t-shirts normal) and act pretty normal, same as the boy children. I know they will rent out rural/small town churches, on Wednesdays if i remember right. The last time i saw people like this, they legit had a spud child in an stander/furniture dolly type thing in a dress with a head covering to match the rest of them. They also always have at least 5 kids.

The Amish are unfathomably based. They could load their entire lives onto horse drawn wagons and move entire communities into the wilderness and build new communities.
They're effectively a lifeboat culture. A last known good save point.

Just about any belief or tradition they have I could make a logical (secular, non-dogmatic, non-religious) justification for.

the Amish have land and self-sufficiency, and their neighbors generally like their communities. all it takes to make enemies is a local rotary club (or similar power cultivation lodge of self-appointed leaders/pillars of the community) to see an opportunity/benefit in slandering them.

inbreeding and animal abuse are not more significant in amish communities than it is outside amish communities.

Don’t know if this thread deals with cults linked to Masonry, but the Brotherhood Of Saturn or Fraternitas Saturnai is a pretty interesting group. One of the members helped with the artistic direction and creation of the original Nosferatu.

Occult symbols , not sure if they represent Saturn. Got the swastika in there too . Also I have to look , but there is a “magical” square in the corner. Each planet is represented by one. This might be a representation of Saturn.

I only know about this one because an old black lady gave me a card with it. And then I went on a quick search and even then I couldn't figure out what was accurate and what wasn't. I just know that it's mostly prevalent in Japan but has attempted to reach to other countries with varying success, and is less insane than the other Japanese cults.

I also have no idea what "spiritual noise pollution" is.

They worked with Crowley and accepted “The Law” , but refused to change their rituals to suit Thelma. I believe they are still in existence, but practice under a different moniker. If I remember they where into head worship of some type and that they still have prior Magus’ heads.

TFU is an organization with a largely online following operated by Jeff and Shaleia Divine, in Leelanau County, Michigan, which gained notoriety through a series of documentaries.

The organization is advertised as a community that helps people find their soulmate and reach a "harmonious union," according to their website. The couple sells classes, subscriptions, books, sessions and more.


Nessel said raids were conducted at the residences of the leaders of the controversial group.

"Today, my office executed multiple search warrants upon individuals atop the Twin Flames Universe organization and its associated properties, under the authority of a judge finding probable cause that crimes have been committed by TFU and their leadership," said Nessel.

The attorney general is asking for members of the public to come forward with information that could assist the investigation.

"Anyone with information about potential criminal conduct regarding Twin Flames Universe, or their members, are encouraged to contact my office, and may do so anonymously," she said.

The search warrants were executed earlier on Tuesday with multiple branches of law enforcement including AG special agents, the US Department of Labor, Office of the Inspector General, Michigan State Police and by members of both the Leelanau County and Grand Traverse County sheriff's offices.

Jeff has even called himself the second coming of Christ. Several family members whose loved ones are members have claimed that they are brainwashed by the couple - who formerly went by the names Jeff and Shaleia Ayan.

Prior to moving to Suttons Bay, the couple lived in Farmington Hills where they started TFU.

The Farmington Hills Police Department conducted an investigation of the organization after receiving a call from an Australian mother in 2020 who said her daughter was a member. They investigated the couple and the members living there at the time, doing chores.

It's crazy and hilarious that no matter what kind of cult you create - there will always be idiots dumb enough to join.

I could create the "Green Fuzzy Fruit Famers" cult where members walk around wearing only green robes and eat nothing but Kiwifruits and worship the Kiwi bird and I will find at least 30-50 people who will change their entire life for it.
