October 13th, 2023 is marked as the 'Day of Jihad' (also labeled under 'Day of Rage') as part of the ongoing conflicts between Palestine & Israel. The former head of the Hamas, Khaled Meshaal, has called on the Muslim nations (Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt) to come together and take on the Israelis. This call is being construed to be an attack on Jews world-wide, even if that was not the initial call. Either way, officials are urging people to stay home and out of cities tomorrow in case of violence.

In preparation for tomorrow/weekend, I thought it would be good to have a thread to document the on-goings of this call as I am expecting protests if nothing else.

The Initial Call:
WASHINGTON (TND) — A former head of the terror group Hamas has designated Friday, October 13, as the "Day of Jihad," calling on Muslims to take to the streets and deliver a message of anger.

He also urged Muslims in neighboring countries like Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt to join the fight against Israel. Emerging threats are adding to those already alarming the West.

“We're also worried about Jihadist groups like in Syria. We have the Iran-backed Shia militia groups in Iraq in the have all sorts of jihadist groups that is our worst nightmare," Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said in a CNN interview Thursday.
New reports say the massacre in Israel was apparently planned for two years.

Another Hamas leader admitted in an interview with Russia TV that Hamas was actually planning for warfare under the guise of providing welfare.

“We made them think Hamas was busy with governing Gaza and that it wanted to focus on the 2.5 million Palestinians and has abandoned the resistance altogether. All the while under the table Hamas was preparing for the big attack," said senior Hamas official Ali Baraka.

The interview, translated by the group “MEMRI,” a Middle Eastern Research Institute co-founded by Israeli-Americans, also included a demand that members of Hamas detained in the United States be released.

During a White House briefing Thursday, Rear Adm. John Kirby said he hadn't seen the report but did speak on getting American hostages back home.

We obviously take seriously our responsibility to get Americans held overseas back with their families. We have in the past entered into negotiations to do exactly that. And we have not foreclosed any options right not in terms of these particular hostages," said Kirby, the NSC coordinator for strategic communications.

These developments come as Israel has pounded Gaza for days including places of worship, schools and refugee camps in retaliation for what Hamas called the Al Aqsa Flood Operation.
In a video statement, the former leader of Hamas has called for a global day of jihad on Friday, Oct. 13, as he praised the work of the Hamas militants who invaded Israel over the weekend, slaughtering hundreds and sparking a war that has led to over 2,200 deaths — including 25 Americans.

"[We must] head to the squares and streets of the Arab and Islamic world on Friday," Khaled Meshaal said in the video, which was released to Reuters. He called upon his "brothers and sisters" in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt to take action and rally around the cause on Friday in support of their Palestinian brethren.

He also made a special plea to Muslims living in the countries surrounding Israel saying: “Tribes of Jordan, sons of Jordan, brothers and sisters of Jordan … This is a moment of truth and the borders are close to you, you all know your responsibility,”

The ex leader has been in exile in Qatar since 2012 when he was evicted from Syria by Bashar Al Assad. He was succeeded by Ismail Haniyeh who has been the leader of Hamas since 2017.

American Preperations:
Americans are "armed" and will not be intimidated, commenters including Rep. Matt Gaetz have said, after a former Hamas chief called for a "Day of Jihad" by Muslim communities around the world on Friday, October 13.

Khaled Mashal, who now heads the militant group's diaspora office in Qatar, told Reuters on Wednesday that Muslims should "head to the squares and streets of the Arab and Islamic world on Friday" and hold mass protests in support of Palestinians as the conflict with Israel intensifies.

In a video posted on YouTube, but since removed, he also called for Muslims "to show anger" on Friday and "send a message of rage to Zionists and to America," according to a transcript posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Gaetz, a Florida Republican, reshared a post about Mashal's comments on X, adding: "FAFO [F*** around and find out]. Floridians are armed. We won't be intimidated."

Joey Mannarino, a conservative podcast host, took a more cautious tone, posting: "Do not leave your homes that day unless there is an emergency. Avoid public transit. Avoid airplanes. Avoid public events."

Jason Howerton, an X user with more than 108,000 followers, wrote: "Do not be paranoid. But absolutely be strapped."

Another social media user, who runs a firearms business in Tennessee, asked followers on X what weapons they would be carrying on Friday.

Salam Al-Marayati, president of U.S. nonprofit the Muslim Public Affairs Council, rejected Mashal's calls on Thursday, telling Newsweek: "Hamas is a terrorist organization and this is what you expect from them.

"We denounce their terrorist activities and definitely don't even consider their calls for more fighting to be heeded by any Muslim because the No 1 thing you must abide by in Islam is if you are in any fight, you should not target civilians."

Al-Marayati said those tactics were not only a violation of Islamic ethics, but were leading to rising death tolls on both sides.

"There's no military solution so the only one is a political one," he said. "People are not in the mood of hearing talks of diplomacy. When people are tired of killing each other and all resources are exhausted, we need to come up with a political solution. The sooner we can get to that, the better it is for all sides."

On October 7, Hamas led the deadliest Palestinian militant attack on Israel in history. Israel subsequently launched its heaviest ever airstrikes on Gaza. As of Thursday, at least 1,300 people had been killed in Israel, the Associated Press reported, citing the Israeli military. At least 1,350 people had been killed in Gaza, according to authorities there, the AP said. Militants are also holding an estimated 150 people taken hostage from Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said his country is "at war" and has cut off supplies of food, fuel, electricity and medicine into Gaza. Israel has called up 360,000 army reservists as it prepares for a likely ground offensive into the territory, which has an estimated population of around 2.3 million.

Al-Marayati said it is expected that people will cling to their narratives and only be concerned with the suffering on their side, adding that he doesn't believe that the Palestinian narrative is understood well by Americans.

"Terrorism is not the answer," he said. "Aside from being immoral, it only backfires to hurt the people more. We want to see our government in the U.S. be more open to the Palestinian side and find a solution."

Part of this dialogue is a promotion of more inter-faith dialogue and cooperation from different religious perspectives, he said.

"It's a long road ahead. With so much smoke and debris coming from the confrontation and war and more civilian suffering, it's hard to see [such conversations taking place]. But to me it's the only path we need to take moving forward."

Newsweek has reached out to other Muslim-led organizations in the U.S. for comment.

LAPD Preparations:
Federal and local law enforcement officials are warning the public to be hyper-vigilant after Hamas publicly urged supporters to take to the streets in a day of action in support of the terror attacks in Israel on Friday the 13th.

The call to action by Hamas was reported by the nonprofit group Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), while Reuters also reported Wednesday that the terrorist organization's former leader, Khaled Meshaal, called for application of "jihad," with "Day of Jihad" currently trending on X, formerly known as Twitter. The LAPD has since announced an uptick in patrols — especially in Jewish and Muslim communities — for Friday.

"The Los Angeles Police Department is aware of recent statements made calling for action as it relates to the conflict in the Middle East. We have no information of any specific or credible threats to the City of Los Angeles but we are continuing to assess the situation for any potential impact to our communities," the department said in a statement. "We are closely monitoring these events and are coordinating with Federal, State, and local partners on information sharing."

In a recorded message obtained by Reuters, Meshaal called for protests across the Muslim world tomorrow in support of the terror attacks against Israel.

"[We must] head to the squares and streets of the Arab and Islamic world on Friday," Meshaal reportedly said. "To all scholars who teach jihad... to all who teach and learn, this is a moment for the application (of theories)."

Jihad is defined as "a struggle or fight against the enemies of Islam," as well as "the spiritual struggle within oneself against sin."

According to MEMRI, "Hamas issued a statement designating the upcoming Friday, October 13, 2023, as a day of general mobilization for the 'Al-Aqsa Flood' operations. In the statement, it urged Palestinians in the West Bank and within Israel to participate in large-scale rallies and confront Israeli soldiers at every opportunity."

More specifically, the statement attributed to Hamas reads, "We declare next Friday, 'The Friday of the Al-Aqsa Flood,' as a day of general mobilization in our Arab and Islamic world and among the free people of the world. It is a day to rally support, offer aid, and participate actively. It is a day to expose the crimes of the occupation, isolate it, and foil all its aggressive schemes. It is a day to demonstrate our love for Palestine, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa. It is a day for sacrifice, heroism, and dedication, and to earn the honor of defending the first Qibla of Muslims, the third holiest mosque, and the ascension of the trusted Messenger."

"Day of Jihad" is currently trending on X, formerly known as Twitter. Jihad is defined as "a struggle or fight against the enemies of Islam," as well as "the spiritual struggle within oneself against sin."

Additionally, Reuters reported Wednesday that former Hamas chief Khaled Meshaal called for protests across the Muslim world tomorrow.

"[We must] head to the squares and streets of the Arab and Islamic world on Friday," Meshaal reportedly said in a recorded statement. "To all scholars who teach jihad... to all who teach and learn, this is a moment for the application (of theories)."

Police officers across the country are quietly urging family members to stay home on Friday the 13th in text messages and phone calls. "Part of the problem is there is nothing specific," an LAPD detective told Los Angeles. "But there is a lot of concern being felt in the department."

The increased police presence will be felt in L.A.'s Jewish and Muslim communities, the department said. "We will be reaching out to our local Jewish and Muslim communities and will be providing extra patrol during this unimaginable time."

The Los Angeles Jewish community is the second largest in the nation, according to a Brandeis University study.

Wednesday evening, LAPD Chief Michael Moore made a public statement in support of Israel and the Jewish community.

The U.S. State Department declared Hamas a terrorist organization in 1997, and the U.S. Director of National Intelligence puts its membership at between 20,000 and 25,000 members.

Among the dead in the bloody rampage carried out by Hamas in Israel were 27 U.S. citizens, and another 14 are still missing, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters during a White House briefing today.

The White House is organizing chartered flights as the State Department issues travel warnings about the region, saying: "Terrorists and violent extremists may attack with little or no warning."

Shit will kick off, muzzies aren't known to ignore a call to action like that, but it's an ire aimed at ze juice, so expect noise around Jewish areas of all kinds. Security presence will be up and muzzies are stupid so you're liable to see more failed attempts than actual chaos. Unless coppers are confused as to whether they're still going soft on brown people. I'd avoid gay areas and city centres too, not that I'd expect to see any of you cynical stalker children there in the first place.

In this case, it'll be the shock and disbelief on the faces of white women, soyboys, and troons when Habu-Dhabu-Pooindaloo rewards their "allyship" by carving up their necks or turning them into roadkill.
