The reality is they are sick of dealing with him and the nut hut felt like an ugprade from homeless. I think that's very debateable, but he's getting pizza hut and burger king so he's really not that interested in getting out. He just wants off the meds

The few I know of involved lunatics who wanted to and tried to kill themselves and were mad they were commited for it, so this is a bit of a turn for me.

The Xanax makes this story really grim. I'm not a junkie, but AFAIK, even just 10 days in quitting Xanax is already a brutal / unbearable experience.
 
People have seizures if they don't properly taper off of Xanax, and they can be deadly. It's really nasty stuff. And DBDR doesn't seem like the type that will come off of it the correct way if he tries to quit. And he has a CDL and wants to drive trucks? They take away your license if you have seizures. And rightfully so. Imagine DBDR in a big rig seizing out from Xanax withdrawal in the middle of a busy highway. I'm curious what the thought process was giving Xanax to an alcoholic, or if any thought was put into it at all.

I think the biggest irony here is that his piece of shit uncle was hounding him about taking on a shit ton of debt to spend the next several years getting a useless sociology degree, while being unemployed, but the second it comes to fucking up his entire life by throwing him in a mental ward it's "I have enough money to keep you locked up in their for 2 whole years", and from what he's said, the place is expensive.

So when it comes to taking their advice on making his life better all of the risk and liability is on him, yet when it comes to forcing DBDR into a situation that causes immense anguish and will ruin his life they're willing to empty out their savings to make sure it happens.

Nigga's have lost their minds and murder/suicided their entire family over shit less insane than this.
It's comically fucked how out to get him literally everybody he's ever known is.
I don't know what it is, but it's like he's cursed to have everyone who meets him instantly desire his complete and total destruction by any means necessary.

I'm sorry but how can his uncle have him committed and keep him in for longer than 72-hours? If you're an adult they can't make you stay unless it's court ordered. Is he just that big of a retard that he thinks he has to stay?

Did they give him drugs before he checked-in? No, they didn't? Then how is "he's on drugs" a valid response? He can post videos to youtube but he can't check himself out? He's almost 30 for fucks sake. I hate to say it because he's likable but it sorta does sound like he belongs there if he's that easily influenced.

Pressured into signing papers then physically escorted into a van. Drugged up and chained to a hospital bed for several days straight before being put in the home, still being drugged like they put him on fucking xanax.

No one deserves to be put through this save those willing to do so to others. Rot in hell.

There are very few times something like this is ever justified. If DBDR actually did some shit, he'd be in prison, like his uncle threatened him with besides the suits to make him sign the papers. Not a make a drug zombie camp.
