I can't think of a single instance where capitulating to demands like this has worked. KF's enemies won't forgive and forget. They hate this place and want to destroy it. The problem with "Freedom of speech" is that people forget that it means freedom for EVERYONE. That's why we have man-hate and woman-hate threads, why we have multiple anti-trump threads and USPGs, why our biggest lolcows include Chris-chan(anti-trump), Ethan Ralph(conservative christian), DSP(apolitical), etc.. i just want to say i've used this site long before i started posting and i will be really sad if it goes. i have a vault of autism stored in my brain from reading so many threads over the years. it hits the nostalgia a bit thinking back to some of the early chaos like the amberlynn reid and mr enter subforum, every time there was a happening with ADF, the mountain jews, etc

There’s no real argument for or against doxing, but the term is getting twisted into something it’s not. When people say “you allowed doxing,” it mostly shows how far the word has drifted from reality. Phone books and Yellow Pages (with addresses & numbers, neatly catalogued & alphabetically ordered,) have been publicly available for decades, both in print & online. That kind of information has always been out there for anyone who cares to look.
Sure, some ( usually overeager newfags) dox random people for clout, & that happens on KF & many, many other places. But most of this info is already public record. Treating basic public details as some sinister “dox drop” is usually just an excuse. It’s not illegal & any actual crime would stand on its own. The real issue is how modern complainers have turned “doxing” into a catch-all rally cry to make ordinary public information sound criminal.
I get why people don’t want their info floating around; that’s why many of us work hard to stay anonymous online. Still, pretending an address or phone number is deadly top-secret info, & pushing for heavier restrictions over it, isn’t the answer. Removing it from here won’t fix much, since it was always findable anyway. The best thing most of us can do is stop spreading the hype & recognize that public records have been around a lot longer than the current panic.
At least when I explored the dark web, I looked at a few listings of .onion sites to see what the dark web consisted of to educate myself on the local man made horrors, and holy fucking shit, no. Id rather have zero internet presence than go any further. Never got into social media, and I never will, so going to great lengths to venture into sketchy fed and sicko infested spaces is not high on my list. last time i checked doxbin is also protected by cloudflare. which is always funny to think about whenever anybody says something like "oh kiwifarms should just ban doxing forever and everything would be fine" because thats not the issue and it never was otherwise doxbin would be a TOR only website rather than something actively used by journalists even though those journos would never outright admit it.
