dude anyone can talk to sales. to this fucking day I get calls from COGENT trying to sell me shit and I have to tell them that their CEO personally hates my fucking guts and will get me kicked out of Polish datacenters.
Keep expressing interest, so that their sales team has to keep getting overruled by management. Anyone who expresses interest has their lead profile upgraded, and upgraded again as they move through the stages of their sales process. Sales people doing cold calls are under constant pressure to meet quotas; if promising leads keep getting slapped out of their monthly win column, they'll get frustrated and desperate. A sales team hating their management isn't a great way to grow revenue.

Or it'll happen twice and they'll stop calling you, a minor win either way.

It will eventually, the issue is that it takes years.
The feds have certain endpoints that are publicly accessible, and not protected by Cloudflare because it violates security models. They moved heavily into cloud and remote access services after Covid. Some of that infrastructure is relatively small because of their smaller, compartmentalized userbases.

If it really only costs $80 in untraceable crypto to buy historic DDOS attacks, then it becomes more likely someone aims that botnet at targets who go crying to their big brother. I would never advocate doing that, of course; but from an accelerationist POV it would be very funny.

botnets maintain blacklists of things they will not target. sometimes they will be nice and blacklist small websites. they almost always blacklist governments.

Akamai was really the first 'CDN'. I did a brief contract with them and the folks seemed really smart. Sadly as it was 25 years ago I don't think they'd remember me.
Is their DDoS protection a different product than their CDN, or is it basically the same thing? I could kind of see it both ways but I also wonder if they are so used to working with big tech companies that they just ballooned costs beyond what normal people can pay.

As far as I'm aware they have both CDN for mostly static content and more targeted security products for dynamic content presumably running over the same network and points of presence. In addition they were also one of the first to do smart DNS with location awareness and all that sort of fun stuff that makes a CDN useful.
And yes, they are very much the platinum tier and are not trying to be CloudFlare and deal with the "little people".
If you've ever gotten an "edgesuite" error on a website, that's Akamai.

How much to buy KF a spot on this guy's blacklist? At this point, it may be cheaper than buying mitigation.

Shit seems to have ramped up again in the past, like, twelve hours. Has it?
Getting page could not be loadeds, increased load times in general. Tor.

Hopped back in Tor to see if anyone else was having this issue.
If I recall correctly, weren't the attacks likely to start back up at the beginning of the month due to funding? Apologies if I am misrembering.

It's usually the first Friday, as it's harder to mitigate over the weekend.. last one was pretty hardcore though, not as much downtime as the keffals stuff, but it was a good day and half when it was pretty hard to get here on clearnet.

Disability and welfare payments generally come in around the first week of the month, but I believe exact date depends on the exact country each of pedophile Elaine Gertler-Miller is friends with hails from.
