Though I may agree with you on the respectability part it is certainly not the laziest. Some instances of experimental music can be the laziest. Like 4:33, where they played nothing for 4 minutes and 33 seconds. How can playing something be lazier than playing nothing?

4:33 is great eckshually.

One, 4:33 is objectively a unique "piece": after the guy "wrote" it, no other person can pull this shit off again. If you think it's garbage, the good news is it's one piece of garbage. Hiphop is an endless stream of garbage.

Two, given that 90% of everything is shit, 4:33 is literally in the top decile of best music written ever, because you'd rather listen to nothing than to the bottom 90%. Even the music you generally like, sometimes you'd hate if people around you listened to it (because it's a distraction or you're trying to sleep, etc). You'd never hate a person for listening to 4:33 in public.

Heres my thing about 4'33. Its "point" is just to be silence right? That in its essence is supposed to make you appreciate noise. Its absurdism.

My take on "noise music" that has no structure is that it is that is not music. Like random bullshit "art" people throw together and call art isnt art.
Its an insult to the fact hip hop "sounds good" to a lot of people to call that experimental garbage music.
I always felt like those kinds of "artists" are just there to be attention seekers abusing the medium cause they don't want to learn it.

The thing about modern music is a lot of it is complex refined mixing and mastering techniques thanks to digital software. A lot of music can just be filled in with white noise risers, little synth noise, clips. Drum beats arent hard. In fact after learning music theory I think theres a limited range of what "pop music" can be.

My question to people saying kanye is genius is, does kanye even know what key he is in? Does he know what chords are being played? Does it matter?
Probably not. But my point about Classical was you can write a symphony on paper if you hear it in your head. Its not the same as making loops, and then putting down some midi. It just isn't the same skill. MPC skills aren't the same as composing, conducting, mixing, and mastering orchestra. Its not even the entire production line. Hell some EDM producers don't even make their own music, their features do. Kanye is just better than most of them. Go talk to some sound engineers about relative skill and knowledge levels in relation to how the only thing that matters is: "Sounds good, is good."

Yes, not only is it compositionally lazy and barely musical, but the niggers use their retarded, lazy, broken English that for some reason is considered by academic faggots to be a unique language. Only country comes close to rap/hip-hop's laziness.
 
As much as I dislike the vast majority of rap music, I think country is the worst and laziest genre. I hate country for the same reason I think a lot of people hate rap the majority of it is just so generic.


I'm sure there are creative and unique sounding artists in the country genre but I can't be bothered to find them so i'll continue to feel that it's all generic lazy bullshit. Whereas I've heard creative and unique rap artists and have developed a discerning ear for it, yeah the vast majority of it is garbage but some of it is actually quite good so I can't right off the whole genre

All I know is this, Tupac "made" do for love, but he ain't singing on it, nor is he playing - like Bobby Caldwell, the man in the sample. In fact, I'd rather just listen to the samples these niggers steal, rather than the low-IQ edits themselves. Imagine that, something spurred on and largely funded originally by Communist Koshers - is something that focuses on Stealing Things From Others instead of creating it from scratch.
