Sorry you have depression, might try smoking weed in the evenings before going to sleep, 2-3 hours before the bedtime, it has helped me become more productive. Yes, for real.
Indeed. I was kind of shocked when I looked into it.

I tried. It's 5:24AM right now though. I am going to sleep, but not sure it helped for a long long long time. It also affects sleep quality, but at this point it does not matter for me.

Oh yeah, it affects sleeping quality indeed. I feel more refreshed and have deeper sleep, so it's the opposite for me.
 
I suggest swapping that out for chess. It's a hard game but you're playing it against other people and there are free websites such as lichess, and there's at least some kind of a sense of community as opposed to basically playing against a random number generator. Also after a year or two of playing you can basically annihilate any random person you might meet in a bar in a casual game which is fun.

Furthermore, please exercise. Yoga and cardio workouts can be learned for free if you don't have a reasonably priced gym near you, and you can also run.

I have been there and it gets better.

This must be a thing, because this is exactly what I do and I haven't felt this good and years! More productive and a lot of the low thoughts are gone.
I usually pack a bowl and take small hits over the course of a few hours before bed. Just enough with each hit to relax, not make me stupid high.

I have been a smoker for many years. It's all around me if I want it, this has never been an issue.

Weed makes me less active in the mornings when I smoke before sleep, but then again it does not help me sleep either.

Whenever I stopped smoking, I would get these weird ass dreams, but after a while, I would feel a lot better in the morning. That was more than a decade ago though.
