Why the fuck would you end development on a reasonably successful live service game with established whales? 10-20 year old live games are low cost money printers if managed correctly.
Bungie has psy-opped itself into believing that Marathon's release wasn't a stillbirth and will make it work or die trying (emphasis on the latter). Sony is also mad at them since Bungie's $800b impairment losses basically made them miss their quarterly targets and they probably want to kill it before it does more damage.

Suffah Bungie! Suffah, BISH!!

And a hearty 'eat shit' to all the faggots that thought Bungie could rescue Halo from 343. Lol. Can't even rescue their own garbage. Wait, they were the ones to make it worse.
They left and fired everyone who worked on halo anyway, like Staten and fucked over Martin O'Donnell until he left.

Same shit with rockstar, kept a team of excellent writers and radio hosts that wrote their legendary jokes and dialogue for a decade without work because they were too busy making shitty online DLC and fired them all during the early part of GTA 6s development.

I played this game once when I was a retarded child who didn't know that my mother's shitty laptop couldn't handle it. The experience was awful. Hope the people who play it get a good ending though.

I already mentioned it but I bought a copy of D1 with ttk for my PS3 even though I never had any friends to play with. Some of the strikes, especially ttk ones, were a lot of fun! Shield Brothers not only had some sick lore but its soundtrack was amazing. I remember how fun it was to solo my first nightfall and doing both vault of glass and king's fall with randos.
Then I booted up D2 after I finally got a proper gaming PC which it was right during lightfall I believe, and I was shocked at how much the art style changed. I thought the new "strand" (whatever it's called) subclass was really lame. I could somewhat look past this, however, if they didn't shove two brown half naked homosexual non-binary demigods into this supposedly dark and mysterious sci Fi setting. It really irked me off and I uninstalled it. And so much had changed that even I as a D1 veteran had no clue of what the fuck was going on with no good way to catch up.

I am curious to see how it's gonna do now. I might check it out if you can play classic D1 raids. And hopefully they'll be willing to be generous to new players now that they won't be working on this game anymore.

That said, total Bungie death!

Only watched gameplay but idk if it's the style or what but gameplay looks disorientating and the environments look flat / are eyesores.
Hard to reset the visual identity of an IP when it's so STARK but idk maybe they can make it more appealing and fun?
