Big T was ambitious and took the crownlands and kingslanding Without much resistance , the Baratheon dynasty wouldn't have such good political standing. The red wedding served a purpose, to bring order and stability back to Westeros. The only reason why people are so ashamed of treacherous the red wedding is how Joffrey did, not what he was trying to do. If the means were better, people would be lauding him.
