Disaster 'Did Facebook delete our pub because of its name?' - "There are other Black Bull pubs that have had their Facebook page pulled. I’m assuming it's something to do with copyright."

The "devastated" owners of a pub say they have lost 80% of bookings after their Facebook page vanished without warning.
Julie and Lee Loach, who run the Black Bull, in Donington, Lincolnshire, spent years building a following of more than 8,500 people. They do not know why the page was suddenly deleted, but suspect it was for copyright reasons because the pub has a common name. Meta, Facebook's parent company, has been contacted for comment.

“It is an absolute travesty for the business,” Mrs Loach said. “It is like someone has died. "There are other Black Bull pubs that have had their Facebook page pulled. I’m assuming it's something to do with copyright."

The couple, who provide lunch, dinner and afternoon teas, said four-fifths of their food bookings were taken on Facebook. When the page disappeared on 8 September, the existing reservations went with it.

"I’ve lost bookings, inquiries, lots of contacts that are not yet finalised," Mrs Loach said. "I have no way of contacting anyone."

To make matters worse, she found it very difficult to contact the social media platform.

“We’re just a tiny little pinprick in their massive Facebook world,” she added.

Mr Loach said working in the hospitality sector was “hard enough” without “another kick in the teeth”.

He initially thought the page had been deleted by mistake.

“My wife was really distraught, panicking,” he added. “But I said, 'don’t worry they can’t just wipe it'.

"But they did.”

Who is going to tell them?

Looks like this happened to another one, now called the Black Bull Lanchester

Honestly torn on this one, yes the degeneracy side could be a factor especially if AI is used to purge pages but I can still find multiple Black Bull pubs and restaurants on FB as well as at least one Black Bull brand once that are all just called Black Bull. Seems weird that FB took down some pages yet others remain.

That's the problem in setting up and investing on FB or any other social media platform--you're at their whim and all your money and time can go down in the drain in an instant. Even though this is a fact, so many media "gurus" and marketing "experts" keep pushing businesses to make social media the center of their marketing efforts.

You say 'soo behind culturally', I say 'thoroughly uncucked by the porn-Jew trying to push micegenation on the populace'.

But y'know, tomato tomahto.
Well when it comes to specifically this instance maybe you have a point, its probably not great that when you hear "Black Bull" a good portion of the population thinks of interracial cucking.

It takes time to scan through such a fuckhuge database for retroactive wrongspeak. If they decided that "black bull" is a bad word recently, then whatever censorship system they employ will likely be moving slowly through data and purging on updates or whenever caches are refreshed.

The UK is soo behind culturally that they don't even know what "black bull" is a reference to, Facebook is ran by libs, they hear "Black bull" and they start thinking of a large black man taking their wife to pound town.

Yeah, there's some optimism there. They don't know the depths of American degeneracy and how pornsick we actually are.

>Americans: " LMAO THE DOCTOR IS ON THE BBC"

Eh, it's more or less someone is offended because they're cucks and don't like people mentioning it or mocking it. It's a callback to when troons got pretty much every gif that could be used to mock them taken off of Facebook and Slack. Citing "safety concerns", yeah , sure, removing Jim Carrey Ace Ventura Gifs is going to protect people, whatever fags.

As I am not a cuck, when I saw black bull I instantly thought of the fat cacodemon knockoff boss from the infamous 2005 game "shadow the hedgehog"

If you ask me, a lot of people commenting in this thread ought to start drinking here.
I want to go there and hold my tiny gravy boat while I watch my wife take her pleasure in someone else's meaty delights.

For real though, they seem obsessed with that thing. It's all over their plating. Trendy pub culture is weird.
