I thought DST was only being removed/never existed for some states because of their global position on the Earth. If I remember right, we need DST because the Earth is tilted and also doesn't rotate/orbit perfectly, so certain areas need to move forward and backward to keep the amount daylight matching with their clocks. Without daylight savings in some areas, wouldn't their clocks slowly shift over the years until 12AM is actually 12PM and it's midnight dark during the daylight hours?

Assuming you're not just pretending to be retarded, you're mixing up DST with leap days.

I may just be mixing it all up, I never really went and looked it up. I was just assuming that's how it works based on what it looks like, and vague things I've heard throughout my life.
