The entire concept of a "Holodomor" is a myth created postwar by Ukrainian nationalists i.e. associates with Mykola Lebed, a Nazi collaborator recruited by the CIA. So Wikipedia is being somewhat truthful here even if their Holodomor page is controlled by Ukrainian nationalists along with practically everything else related to Ukraine.

The Holodomor absolutely happened, you spastic. Soviet collectivization of agriculture was an absolute disaster, and their urban-centric, rushed industrialization only further exacerbated the problem. It's right up there will all the other retarded communist events, such as the Great Leap Forward, in being a perfect example of why communists should be shot on sight lest they crash and burn society.

I agree there was bad policy caused by communism that resulted in a famine where many died, including people people who were politically persecuted during it. But the singular obsession over the so-called "Holodomor" is ridiculous since it comes with loony exaggerations of victims like "7 million dead" (Ukrops had to beat the 6 million) or people who claim it was Stalin wanting total hohol death or whatever.

Who the fuck cares about Slavs killing each other lol, they'll replace all the missing ones within like 2 years anyway.

People care because six million is such a huge number, the worst in all of human history, if we conveniently ignore the genocides that were at least ten times larger happening at around the same time, give or take a few decades. Oh, and they actually happened, but even ignoring that it still gets in their way and so they ignore them. The Holodomor doesn't get a fucking movie every couple of years.

Calling the Holodomor a genocide against Ukrainians is like saying the Dust Bowl was a genocide against Oklahomans.

Maybe it will soon. "This summer, see Mykola's List! The mean ol' Joey Stalin took all the Ukrainerinos food away, but Mykola and Stepan won't stand for that! Watch as Mykola invites his buddy Adolf to give Ukrainerinos their food back! Watch as Stepan abuses cats and murders Polish children to save the Ukrainerinos from Joey Stalin! You better get on Mykola's List this summer!" It can even have Zelensky beg for another few billion dollars in the post-credits scene!
