@SpergioLeonne insists that it is economical and safe to buy re-treaded tires from Mexicans rather than buying new tires from retailers. It appears to be a hill he will die on.
I will defend the spics. Know why?

I walk into a tire warehouse and try to estimate the cheapest I can get four tires mounted and balanced, and they’re trying to tell me $1200.

Then I go to the spics, and I can get a set with 70% tread life, mounted, balanced and installed in 20 minutes for $250
Says the obvious bridgestone sales rep

There’s no repairing anything that’s not a puncture. A puncture will not lead to a blowout, it will lead to a flat. Have you ever seen how tires are patched?

They don’t sell retreads, but it doesn’t matter if a tire is retreaded. In the early 2000’s, the feds went Karen and took down a study from the nhtsa that said retreads and new tires had comparable failure rates, coincidentally around when the Bush family friends, the Firestones, had drama with a scandal. I’m sure it’s completely unrelated

Why do you hate the environment and money so much?
IM POOR, I don’t have $1200 or $1500 sitting around for tires
You would rather run Chinese tires than used ones? I don’t get it, but it scares me

Let’s put it this way. If I buy a tire with 80% tread, the guy before me was the Guinea Pig checking them out for manufacturing defects. He broke them in for me
I don't even change my own oil, so I have no dog in this fight.

I usually buy new off-brand tires for $70-90 a piece from walmart.com. I would never buy a used tire from a mexican.

If you have to replace your tires at all you're ngmi. I haven't replaced mine in 20 years and they're doing just fine

It’s borderline schizophrenic to say you’ll order changdong wuhau’s online from Walmart but you won’t look at a Goodyear yourself if a Mexican is selling it
We are in the middle of protests about illegal immigrants and on your own volition you decided to mention Mexicans selling you tires for extremely cheap prices and you didn't think how people would interpret this?

I have also bought used tires and they all worked out fine and the race of the employees were Middle Eastern and I didn't bring up any of this because none of it was relevant.

You are a retard who got into a heated argument with a former drug addict who preaches the need of white solidarity with drugs addicts who put children in danger solely because of race. Both of you look retarded as fuck.

I'm not shopping around for used tires, period. I'll happily take a new DOT approved Chinese tire before I rifle through sunbaked goodyears.

How do I get it to 100%?
Milwaukee 2848-20. You can go to 150 with that bad boy in the time it takes a shop compressor to fill its tank. Retreads are probably the worst idea. Most noncommercial tires aren't even made for it these days and you know it's been through the expected life cycle. Used tires are still a gamble. Most people aren't throwing away useful tread life without some reason for it. The cheaper you go the bigger the gamble.

You can find affordable new tires pretty easily. Pick a name you've heard of before that isn't Goodyear/Michelin and you've halved the cost already. Saving the extra $20/ea. to get Chinese tires made from recycled condoms just isn't worth it.

Really the solution is a state-owned tire manufacturer. VEB Zentrale Reifenfabrik "August Bebel".

That's a good name, got to add that one to the list.

ngl I'd rather have good quality used brand name tires with 70% tread on them than a set of brand new Lucky Dragon Ditchfinder 9000s. Chinese tires usually handle like dogshit, some to the point of being straight-up unsafe.

I used to work for a trash company and my boss was convinced he was saving money by buying used/ retread tires for the trash trucks. We had flats CONSTANTLY and lost who knows how much money from pissing off our customers by being late and having to send a truck that has its own route to cover a different route.
