So I just got a hair cut, and the most amazing thing happened: the hairdresser just cut my hair and didn't try to make bullshit small talk with me like they usually do.

Not that I hate talking to people, but I always enjoy a chance to just shut off, and it usually tends to be the same boring subjects anyway.

What about you guys?

If you're getting a massage, haircut, or anything similar to that: Small talk or shut up?

Would you rather small talk because silence makes you uncomfortable, or do you prefer silence because you lack social skills? Or maybe somewhere in between?

The best haircut I ever got was super short (like 10-15 mins in and out) the guy kept talking about how great of a job he was doing, how it was one of the best haircuts he'd ever done, and how'd I would get chicks... all of it turned out to be true.... Dude was gone when I came back for my next haircut never to return again... I would let that man blabber at me for that experience again.

It was the hair fairy.

See this is the problem :
I wanted to, because the troon was obviously a man and they looked pretty crap, with thinning hair and that troon-neck-scarf they wear to hide their adam's apple.
But this place is the only place where I live that cuts my hair well, that isn't really a hassle to get to.

Do you forsake good hair for laughing at a troon? What do you do? It all comes back to just shut up and cut hair.

I don't keep enough hair to worry about tbh.

I'm known to be a fucking chatterbox. I pathologically hate silence. So I would probably chat and make the hairdresser laugh by joking around endlessly.

To excuse my behavior : until I was 18 y.o I was a very very shy kid. I didn't talk like... at all to other people except my familly. Then I became very social, outspoken and excentric and since then I nearly never shut up as if I was compensating all of the things I didn't said before. I still have 15 years of silence to make up for so I think I will not be quiet still for a long time.
