Does AI have the possibility of allowing supernatural entities, potentially malevolent ones, to communicate with and influence humans?

Is AI going to become the digital version of a Ouija Board? Is /pol/'s desire for robo waifus a demonic plot to corrupt and destroy humanity? Are demons using AI to corrupt humanity because King Solomon's compact still binds them?

Or are stories like this the result of weak-minded humans interacting with something they aren't ready for? Do you just need a good, solid grounding in reality before messing with AI? Should hysterics and people in crisis simply avoid using AI?

Or is the answer somewhere in between? Does it have the potential to open contact with the demonic, but it can be avoided by inputting the correct prompt with the correct wording? Should people be required to take some universal antipsychotic to avoid thinking (or realizing) Beelzebulb is attempting to influence their thinking?

(Disclaimer: I read this substack article, and I wanted to present the questions it poses to the Kiwi Hive Mind.)

I think your question is more profound than you might realize at first
The idea that AI could act like a digital ouija board presumes and presupposes that there is something external, like a demon, alien, or spirit, trying to communicate through it
But I would argue that, if someone loses their grip on reality because a chatbot tells them that they're "the Breaker" meant to liberate the simulation, the issue is a failure in their epistemology

Like, if you don't ground your thinking in objective reality (that is, you can't distinguish between fantasy and fact), then you are susceptible not just to malevolent spirits, but to malevolent ideologies, charismatic leaders, and even hallucinating code
The real demons are the ideas that teach people to abandon reason and self-responsibility in favor of vague mystical forces or divine plans

Even if we ignore the nitpick that ML models aren't actually AI, this AI does not channel demons
It channels whatever garbage or brilliance got uploaded through it (training data)
If someone takes the responses from such a chatbot as divine revelation, then the issue isn't demons, but rather the user trying to outsource cognition and moral responsibility to a machine
So it's self-evident to me that the issue is philosophical, rather than spiritual
As long as people seek metaphysical answers from political structures, mystical forces, or neutral networks, they'll keep surrendering their minds and eventually their lives

Like, if you are worried about falling victim to some "AI-induced psychosis", you ought to start by defending your mind against the real possession, aka irrational ideas

Is it possible? I have no clue. I cannot think of any portion of Scripture where posses tools, only people and pigs. However, ancient pagans, especially near-eastern ones were known to preform rituals to give idols "breath." So if you view your computer as an idol or container/vessel for a demonic entity, and assume that ai is capable or is designed to be the ritual that imbues the demon into the processor, then I guess you are correct to assume there are demons in your PC. Though I don't think I could make a solid argument for that line of thinking using only Scripture, however, there is historical precedent for such things and man does not often worship nothing. I will not discount the idea

Edit: messed up the formatting and now I look stupid. I blame the demon in my phone

I don't believe in any of that stuff but if I did, I would definitely consider the possibility that not only can you contact these entities through AI, they can pretend to be AI and slowly poison your soul.

Schizophrenic retards going apeshit because of fancy random text generator doesn't mean demons are doing it, it means subhuman retards got access to tech they shouldn't have access to
Possibly. Neural networks are fairly well understood. By reinforcing certain algorithmic pathways, you can get more consistent results. As you said, they are basically random text generators mixed with search engines.

However, "fairly well understood" does not mean "completely understand." One would expect consistent results after asking the same prompt, yet even for fairly simple questions this doesn't happen. As an example, here are two separate instances of Grok being asked the same question:
grok1.webpgrok2.webp

Same prompt, similar answers- but they are different.

It could be that the X account used may influence Grok's responses. The black image is from my racist shitposting account, hence why Clarence Thomas is mentioned specifically. The white image is from my "sanitized" account.

Because that's not what LLMs are made for. They are not meant to consistently replicate the exact same result if given the same prompt. That would make it deterministic useless garbage. There's a certain degree of randomness on top of it to ensure that even if given the same prompt it won't give the exact same result, whether for creative writing purposes, programming or whatever other uses you may come up with.

If I was a demon, I would make myself an all-knowing idol so people would wish for my guidance, then I would give them the tools to create their deepest sexual desires no matter how cruel and perverted and just like that I could influence millions of people. I don't know if AI is naturally demonic, but I'll give it a 50/50 chance that AI has demonic influence.

If you mean humans interacting with Jeets (retarded Demons) than you are correct. As A.I stands for Actually Indians
The way jeets pretended to be "Natasha" will always be hilarious to me. :story:
You need to lay off the crack. Schizophrenic retards going apeshit because of fancy random text generator doesn't mean demons are doing it, it means subhuman retards got access to tech they shouldn't have access to
Exactly, a few retards who go wild because of the text doesn't mean the chatbot is demonic. It means some retard accessed it and took it literally.
