  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Not sure if shitpost or not.

Might as well throw out my recommendations. Not linked because I'm lazy.

New Vegas
  • Just Mods : These mods are small quality of life features like spriting, a Fallout 4 style loot menu, and hit markers.
  • Rags to Riches : Adds treasure and gold to the wasteland. Some problems such as bugs and balance problems, but great fun.
  • NIF Bashed Armour/Weapon pack : Adds a bunch of new outfits, weapons, and vendors by bashing together existing models.
  • DLC Integration : Makes some of the DLC weapons and items appear in the base game.
Half-Life
  • Half-Life Echos : If you want more Half-Life, it doesn't come higher quality than this.
Half-Life 2
  • MMod : The weakest part of Half-Life 2 was the shooting, which is a problem given it's a FPS. MMod revamps the combat to make it more impactful and fun.
  • Minerva : Long time classic mod that has you infiltrate a small island.
Doom 2
  • Going Down : There's an insane number of mods for Doom, and many classics, but I have a weakness for Going Down. The entire campaign takes place in a single tower block.
  • Mayhem Mansion : A fan remake/reimagining of the game Exploding Lips.

I've recently have found that SPTarkov exist. Now I can enjoy masturbating weapons and please my inner gunsmith and lego constructor at ease. :story:

But seriously, if you have EFT, but don't feel playin' it because of what is the online's condition now and want to just enjoy the game you can download EFT, download and install SPT-AKI, throw in some mods for your pleasure and have fun.

For DooM 3 try Perfected DooM 3 or Overthinked DooM 3, both make it a better game, either via just making the gameplay more fun or making it harder and more tactical (and thus making the horror aspect better)
 
Way of the Wasteland Warrior is a pretty fun New Vegas mod. I'm a sucker for unarmed/fist combat and it has a good skill line for it, though you become a bit too fast at endgame imo.
 
If you like modding for Fallout 3 you are going to have a much easier time making quality mods in Morrowind
 
There used to be a mod that mutes Ethan / Hila voice on ModWorkShop for Payday 2.

It's gone now.
 
For New Vegas I'd recommend the someguy series if you are looking for more story content. Still definitely 'mod' quality but the best writing and characters you can find in that sphere. You can also put the entirety of Fallout 3 into NV via Take of Two Wastelands.

Anything else I'd recommend would have to be based around personal preference.

Redditors are literally shaking over Klansmen in a mod with Shrek, teletubbies, and Godzilla for a game where you can exterminate tens of thousands of people in every city you capture. I'll reupload v5 and post the link here tomorrow in that case. I could even put up v4 too just out of spite.

Moded the shit out of Risk of Rain 2. It doesn't break.

I also modded Project Zomboid but the latest update made all mods obsolete so I dropped it.

Modded characters in Darkest Dungeon increase the quality of the experience 100 times.

Bought Noita on Steam so I can mod the living shit out of it. Crashes 2/3 times (basically unnoticable from vanilla). Would recommend!

I wanna get the FTL multiverse mod and give it a shot.

Me personally? i don't have interest for much modding out of the box shit, it's either bugfixes or QoL so i can't recommend anything.
 
For Cities: Skylines you NEED the Traffic Manager President Edition mod. It gives you greater control over traffic flow and junctions, you can designate specific turning lanes and dictate which lane a car must enter to take a specific exit on larger junctions. You also get more control over traffic priority, lights and parking. It's a Godsend in the late game when your city is prone to jamming from npcs driving in ways that just don't make sense.

Edit: Also have a look at Roundabout Builder. It allows you to insert pre-made roundabouts of various sizes which can immensely help traffic flow.
