does going to the gym make you cool?

Why would I pay to go to a gym? I'll just do exercise home or outside if I want to. That's just for me, if you want to go train specific muscles with expensive stuff, go ahead.

I also don't have to deal with people recording stuff, if the establishment allows it or doesn't care. But on every single aspect, I think I prefer exercise at home, calisthenics is the way to go, and if I can do in a nice place (not a gym), then even better.

The only exercise you need is hard day's labor.

Why would I want to go to a room full of a bunch of sweaty half naked men, obsessed with male bodies?

Mhm.

I do this and still train afterward. It is better to be strong than weak, especially if you're given the body and soundness of mind to become so.
Gyms are a convenience though, you can still improvise some shit for training at home if need be and it'll save on time pretty well.

I don't know if it would make you 'cool' in my book, per se, but it would raise my opinion of you. I see someone working out in the gym and I would think to myself, good for them, they're making an effort to improve themselves; that puts them above 90% of the population.

I think at some point it's cheaper to buy free weights and shit to train at home. It's cooler to be lifting in your basement and you can admire yourself as much as you want if you're at home
