It's a topic that's gotten my attention recently. Finding accurate information is pretty hard since lots of places have hard "yes" or "no" answers and almost none have nuanced, in-between answers. If there's a community that isn't completely biased on this issue, I've yet to find it. There's also little to no discussion on how it impacts women (which shouldn't really be a concern to me since I'm a dude, but fuck it; I'm bringing it up anyways). So... I decided to ask KiwiFarms.

It's time for some discussion on the ethics of sausage-gripping and ham-splooging.

Keep in mind I don't really care about the religious aspects. If you ask someone like a christian or a muslim if masturbation negatively affects you, he or she is most-likely going to say yes since it is considered a sin.

It may reduce the risk of prostate cancer, but outside of that I don't believe it has any health benefits. I'm pretty sure there isn't really any solid evidence that jerking off negatively effects T levels or mental health like the loons at NoFap claim, but I can't imagine that deathgrip jerking to gross fetish porn everyday is good for your sex life.

Stop watching porn.

By far,

Every time I jerk off I think, damn I coulda had the mrs slob the knob if I'm too lazy to fuck her.

Seriously, why is this in deep thoughts? Medically masturbation until addiction is harmless the only time you should reduce is if it's having negative effects or in case of males a sample is needed.

The no fap thing is really bunk science, if you read into it more, I like fitness so I gave it a read, it shows a tiny tiny one day out of a week boost in test that could be any number of things, the report doesn't factor in diet or sleep so it's stupid. If you feel not fapping is good for you by all means don't jerk off.

IIRC there was a documentary or two on addiction to masturbation. This one guy cranked it out up to (around) 11 times a day and for obvious reasons made him counterproductive when it came to daily life. Generic parallel to substance addiction, starting with a desirable level of satisfaction, overdoing it leading to not quite the satisfactory level, leading to more excess in chasing it.

So as with most enjoyable things, moderation is key.

The answer is yes.

People who lead typical, slovenly, Western-style lives will never understand because the advantages of not masturbating only become apparent when you push yourself mind and body to the limit on a frequent basis. They go entire weeks at a time without truly putting stress on themselves so they really have no way of judging the difference between how they operate when they masturbate often over a period of time and when they abstain.

I've heard rumors that if you jerk it regularly, suddenly stopping will turn you into a one-pump chump should you get the chance to actually stick it in someone a month or two later. Never actually took the risk to find out, can anyone confirm or deny this?
