Dog attacks students at school bus stop, then it gets on the bus, Texas district says

An unleashed dog attacked students and a school bus driver while at a Texas district’s bus stop, officials said.

The bus driver noticed the dog was biting students in a Houston neighborhood before school Wednesday, Oct. 25, according to a news release from the Aldine Independent School District.

“Upon seeing the dog biting students at a bus stop, the bus driver honked to scare away the dog and tried to allow students on the bus to get them to safety,” the district said. “During this time, the dog was able to get onto the bus for a short period of time.”

Emergency Medical Services and the district police department responded to the scene.

Two students and an adult were taken to area hospitals “for further assessment,” the district said, and the dog was found at its home.

“Animal control advised its owner on protocols that must be followed to ensure the community’s safety,” school officials said.

Following “allegations of a weapon being discharged to scare off the animal,” district police investigated and learned a person had shot the dog, according to the release. The district did not say who shot the dog or provide a condition for the dog.

Shit like this is really disturbing to me and I feel like most people are missing the forrest through the trees when it comes to pitbull stories. Like, you have this breed of dog that are literally orcs- dogs that were taken by sadistic people in cruel times and breed and tortured into monsters. And they are monsters. But then you have this situation in the modern day where this monster gets loose, causes havock and injures or kills people, and then the dog is shot or captured and euthanized later, but nothing happens to its owner. It's just this fucked up cycle of small child and dog death.

Real talk I was walking in the woods by myself one time and a fucking Pitty came charging at me. Thought I would need to defend myself before it's owner called him to come back to the trail. One of the scariest moments in my life.
