On the DF01 thread a few people have mentioned Dolphy...so I thought maybe we should give her her very own thread.

Basically Dolphy is a cray-cray German furry bitch with as much an unhealthy obsession with Disney as DF01, and the two even know each other in real life. She's an a̶u̶t̶i̶s̶t̶ artist with a massive superiority complex a la Snapesnogger, who treats her fans like shit and demands they suck up to her Disney-ripoff, cloying sickeningly saccharine bullshit Lion King clone character.

Oh, and she's also Jim's (from that shitty Treasure Planet movie nobody likes) waifu. They are so totally in lurb, fuck you haterzzz!

hey remember that one picture she did where to "prove" she didn't draw in a Disney knockoff style, she made a chart with three Dolphy lion heads? The cartoon one looked bland, the Disney one was the cartoon one but rounder, and her own style was full of dodge and burn and sparkles?
 
I do like her kiwi artworks. When I found out about her, it was through some of the kiwi pictures so I was hoping for more but all I found was just pages and pages of her Mary Sue with Jim. Artistically better than Disneyfan101 and Snapesnogger but that obsession and attitude is very disappointing.

I have to say, Dolphy (the character) doesn't seem chubby at all to me, as her creator asserts. Yes, I looked at her self Rule 34 with her Sue and Jim, and her stomach looked a little toned. Like, it's a combination of her body type and athleticism. Same with her face. It looks awfully thin for someone who's chubby. (It's showing in the arms as well as the legs, but not the face or stomach??? I seriously doubt she's actually chubby, but that's just me.)
 
photos of her from that time show she's not what Americans would think of as chubby. She's probably still looking the same. And drawing the same. Haven't checked in, but it's sad to stagnate like that.

Actually I find her to be pretty unremarkable, just kind of sad. DF01's more remarkable, but in the end these two are just unremarkable suethors.
 
As always my questions/observations in numerical order.
1- Her having fans surprises me. I get that DA is essentially one giant circle jerk but it isn't like her art is particularly original or great. Better than me but that isn't saying a lot.
2- Wow that commissions situation makes her come off as mad bitchy. I mean it's just a picture. Chillax.
3- What is it about Treasure Planet to draw people that take this way too seriously? I didn't see the movie so maybe there is something there but really? Is it because the hero has a totally Xtreme 90's ponytail?

That's not unusual. A lot of people do that to stop the "haters" and such. Although I have seen it used legitimately when people start fighting in comments and stupid shit like that.

In all seriousness, fair enough. I've never actually heard anyone apart from DF01 and Dolphy say anything nice about it, but if there are fans on here, I wasn't trying to alienate/upset/butthurt anyone.
