Nah man, proper security can't really be beat, it's mostly some weird exploits they find that genuinely require quite a lot of skill to find, or(the vast majority) social engineering to get some schmuck to give you his credentials or whatnot.
It's generally incompetency from one side or another that leads to this shit.
 
Unpatched systems, insecure designs, more bored people learning skript kiddie 101 to spam pre-written attacks at every IP address they can hit just to see what happens, and marginally-to-modestly competent actual crackers cutting their teeth on the easy stuff to prepare themselves to join the big leagues this November when everyone and their mother tries to outright hack the fucking elections.

You need to pay crypto to get some credits and see the link to have the file containing the leak, anyways. That being said, I have a friend there who had some credits there and asked him download the leak and see what is in it. You won't see any passwords but you'll see a lot of IP addresses, emails linked to their username just like @IKOL said.

Something that absolutely pisses me off about Doomworld, aside from all the nepotism and faggotry, is the fact that literal retards can just start creating dozens of community projects, leave them for dead, fuck off for months, then come back without apologizing and then ask to join some random other community project, even when there's evidence all over the place that they can't even map at all and do this only for attention! It feels like nobody gives a shit on that site. I mean yeah, it's a hobby to build maps, but why are you supposed to let things like that fly? They enforce all kinds of bullshit, but the most significant thing, letting others waste time on dead projects, goes unpunished?!

And the worst part about this, if you try to expose these self-absorbed, worthless little shits who waste everyone's time, you'll get a permaban for "trolling".

At least it's not "symbols + numbers + uppercase but only 8 characters long", that's more annoying and it's an outdated practice.

The modding scene in Doom, seem to have stagnated too. But that's probably just me since the ones I watch don't even update that much now and the threads don't seem to have much activity compared to before. The forum might be dying and I can see them shifting to discord and foregoing the forum like most two-bit alphabet devs.

I've certainly seen soy nerds powertripping their balls off as mods (figuratively), but I think this is the first time I've ever seen DoomKid so fucking tilted and intense (complete with some oddly juvenile namecalling). It's a jarring shift from how he presents himself elsewhere, having seen a few of his videos, I can't even picture him speaking in an angry tone.

I've been wary of him, but I guess he has a demented side to him.
