I recognize that one. IIRC the effect in the movie was very simple, they put an angled bike seat on a pole and then she sat on it with a piece of wood in her mouth. The other ones look like they might be from porn or something, but with roughly painted on gore... and is that John Romero's head in the one with the naked guy?

wow yeah I think it is, didn't notice it when I was taking the screenshots, I think the second female sprite was taken from a screenshot one of the older dead or alive games, it has that same kind of art style

Looking back at the "Post picture of yourself" thread on Troonworld, it seems that there isn't a single normal looking person there. :story:

Instead, it's either:

  • Fat, neck-bearded ugly men

  • Bald with acne

I recall I had my picture in that thread once. Maybe twice. But it was when I was young. (not that I'm that old right now, and still I feel like I've visited the beach that makes you old)
To my misfortune all the improvements I've achieveg got null'd by my body's weight gain fetish. And it's hell of a fucking battle to deal with this shit daily especially when you work hellish, unhealthy 16-hours shifts.

The state of wad criticism on Troonworld these days... This post started well, but quickly devolved into the usual soy-filled faggotry. It is clear as day this faggot hates the gameplay in Going Troon, but does he criticize it? No, he fucking praises it.

Listen, faggot, there is no accomplishment in making a punishing wad that gets on the player's nerves and forces him to adjust difficulty settings. Anyone can do that. An accomplishment would be to make something that is fun and challenging at the same time, where you don't feel like lowering the difficulty, because you're motivated by the difficulty, and you want to get better at it. Going Down isn't that, and no attention seeking re-releases will ever change that.

You can't even make constructive criticisms in Troonworld nowadays, you always have to suck the troon dick of everyone there for points and avoiding the banhammer. Gross.

Also, I still don't like fighting 1000+ enemies at the same time that Troonworld likes to champion nowadays.

All I know about Going Down is that it's made by that guy who made those Youtube videos of weird deformed fractal animals and people, and that the megawad has the same awful music as those videos.

And I mean truly a godawful cacophony of shit. I don't understand how people can play that and not turn the music off.

I tried Going Down on HMP to around Map10, and it's not the worst in my book, but that music needs to go. If i decide to play it again, i'm deleting every single midi from the wad and replacing it with something else. Not only is the music bad, but it also doesn't fit and i imagine it will get worse once you get to the hell maps.

I should replay Going Down sometime and give my 50¢. It has been a while. Regardless I have to agree with you gents on the music. Every single track is unpleasant to the ears and you're better off muting the fucking thing. I guess I should consider myself lucky back then because I used Eternity to play and I didn't have MIDI playback configured, so it was just silence.
On the topic of music and OSTs, I listened to Shitdive's Legacy of Rust OST. I hate it. It doesn't fit Doom at all in my opinion but a hypothetical Troonworld VN dating sim Eroge :cryblood:.
