It brought me back to years ago when I first downloaded Augerstehung, opened it in slade, and found that the author had included multiple copies of DOOM2.WAD and a bunch of pirated MP3s from what I think was limewire, spread out over nested WAD files. Comedy gold.
That seriously fucks with me. Jaska seems like an extremely obvious match, his style of mapping, use of doomcute, fondness for abstract shit (especially with whatever the fuck Lost Civilization 2 is shaping up to be) and chiefly the way both he and myhouse's author used teleporters in an absolutely seamless way is a perfect match. If proven wrong then I will admit that I am a dumb motherfucker, though I might need a reminder so do me a solid if that comes to pass, but I played the fuck out of Lost Civilization and my experience with myhouse just screams that Jaska made it. It has become a personal 'tism of mine and I genuinely want to know who the fuck the author is if he ain't Jaska because because myhouse is on a technical level an extremely well made .wad and I would love to see what else the author had cooked up in the past as regardless of all the shit I am happy to give it aside, he is an extremely well talented mapper.
On the Lost Civ 2 OP he wanted to see if he could get a game dev job by showing off his work. After how explosive My House's popularity was, I'd be shocked if he didn't leverage it. So, yeah its not Jaska.

Any tech sector worker could tell you that you should not expect AI to have the "ingenuity to make something" because that's not what AI does. AI does not have any "ingenuity", it's fucking applied math. AI would only ever try to "make something" like DOOM if a prompt was provided that caused it to attempt to do so. A real tech worker would realize that the ingenuity in this equation comes from the human wielding the tool that is the AI. Surely CNET hires people with at least some tech background, right?

IIRC the menus in Q2 don't let you set gender and player model separately from each other. You can troon out via console commands though.
I suppose they could have added a "gender" field into their model file format and programmed the game to always use it without making it accessible via a cvar (or a read-only cvar) if they wanted to take a stand.

and unlike myhouse.wad it actually does some impressive zscript stuff (the stuff it was doing with with the hud during the "baked" map was neat, and the menu changing functions was cool)
besides that overall the level design is very meh, there's too many parts where your just walking really slowly, or having to backtrack to the same 4-5 spots as you read text that take too long to change, as well as 4 maps being the same general layout, it's still very up it's own ass with how "deep" and artsy it tries to be such as the final area where there's so many enemies and particles spawning and hom effects happening at once the framerate drops to the single digits, though apparently that's the point
