I’ve always been the most fond of 4chan style imageboard forums. Mainly because they don’t involve actual usernames (unless they tripfag).
We have “identities” here but the general attitude is that shitting on others is very well sanctioned as long as it doesn’t spiral. Very very little shitting is sanctioned on DW.
I will say, it’s nice to have the organization of a forum as it allows people to check a catalogue of topics out. But a thread with OP updates would do the trick here just fine.
ToD has basically become a Doomerboards 2.0 now with mentally underdeveloped retards contstantly skitzoposting there, including cockroaches like Gokuma, that Slav retard and other rejects.
Atleast when Tangra was still there it felt like a counterbalance against all that stuff and it made it somewehat tolerable. Now it's just one giant cringefest and it's so overly present. None of these people have any class or style, they're like a bunch of loose monkeys. I won't be suprised if they let that abortion "Becky" back in there aswell at this point.
Why the hell would anyone want to post their Doom maps with these dumbasses around? (And by the way, even if I did post one screenshot of my maps on there it would put every single one of them to shame, never wanting to map again). But I will only post my stuff where its worthwile. Unlike most of these mental asylum patients I'm not banned on Troonworld, even though I'm a flaming Kiwi from the inside.
I guess in hindsight, Tangra made the right choice leaving this retarded shitheap after all, already sensing it was a hopeless cause.
I feel the most sad for Time of Death though, he made the forum with good intentions, it was ment to be his lasting legacy. Just for those rejects to shit all over it in the end. The poor guy can't do much nowadays due to his health. Nobody deserves this.

I see Gokuma posted a link to one of my comments directed at him, out of context. Called me a liar, because i assumed he was sent by Kontra Kommando to strike peace with me, a week after he sperged and deleted a bunch of my posts, and placed a custom title on my profile, which was an insult i used to describe him first - A castrated cuckold preacher. Here's the funny thing about liars - they double down on their lies. I admitted my mistake on ToD almost immediately, even though there was no way to get a proof of it, and i could've easily keep pushing the narrative just to piss off Gokuma even more if i wanted to. But i didn't do it, and yet he pissed himself anyway.
Here's what started it. Also, keep in mind what Gokuma said on ToD... that i didn't see this message that he sent on December 11, until a month later.

One month later he says? Who's the liar now? I guess he'll say he forgot the exact time. Anyway, i saw it and replied two weeks later, only because i wasn't visiting DB very often, as i made my promise to never post there at the beginning of December. The thing that annoyed me about Gokuma's message was his audacity to think he can babysit me and tell me how to handle overconfident, narcissistic newbies, who are beyond help and only want to exploit the community with their shitty conversions. That Jack Wester guy... you have no idea what a giant steaming dump his claymation project was. Not even a completed project, he made an entire thread, just to share a WIP with a 10-second video. A few weeks earlier he flooded DW with threads about that same abomination and got triggered when people offered him genuine help. So in Gokuma's delusional mind, i should've give him a chance to shit up the whole forum, before i put him in his place, and until then i should be good to him and write him walls of helpful feedback (like he did), knowing that he'll never read any of it, or apply it to his "work". Gokuma, being the hopeless fuck that he is, wasted his time trying to help this loser, only for him to leave the forum 3 days later, and never return, which is exactly what i expected him to do.
Gokuma also didn't do his homework, as always. Framed me as a gatekeeper who jumps the gun to attack newbies, without ever giving them a chance to prove themselves, when he knew very well, that i was helpful and positive towards two other infamous imbeciles, before they showed their delusional narcissism and inability to improve - DoomGuy999 and Legendary Joe Gaming. DoomGuy999 even started a group chat with me and Gokuma to cry about being bullied on Doomworld, because he was scared of saying anything there and getting banned. For months i was friendly to him, until i got fed up by his stupidity and told him to stop bothering me. Let's see if Gokuma will deny that.
I made the connection with Kontra, because the timing of the message was weird. Just after my DB drama with Kontra, and because it seemed uncharacteristic of Gokuma to preach something that looked like Kontra's newfound plan for a Brave New Troonworld 2.0, after he was appointed as co-admin on DB. The spiel was very similar to the stuff he was saying at the time and the moronic ideas he had for the forum. Here's what followed after that... Gokuma came to ToD to sperg, once again saying that "i ran from him", when he already had a registered account on ToD, and could reply to anything i say, anytime.

He wen't silent for a few weeks, but then DG999 made his return on DB, with a beyond autistic and self-derogatory apology post, and of course Gokuma is there to welcome him with open arms. - two retards coming together in a friendly embrace.
Keep scrolling the page all the way, we've exchanged more shots. The guy actually believed he was being hilarious in his embarrassing dumpster fire replies. He thought i "betrayed him and was waging a holy war on him", when i just had some fun triggering the baby.
And finally, here's the last bit of fun i had with him in the cacoward thread, when he claimed to have a "super secret project released on Doomworld with a sock puppet account, and he wants to keep it a secret to keep the moderators on edge". Imagine how lost in your own deranged mind do you have to be, to think that the DW mods will give a crap about some dead project, by some useless sperg... if that fucking project even exists that is. I decided to test him on it.

In the following months, i would occasionally joke about Gokuma's supersecret DW project, but he would avoid me like a plague. Now he says i ran off here, when the motherfucker waited for me to leave ToD, to start running his mouth and act like a big deal.
By the way, Gokuma, that bottom of the barrel garbage that you consider "funny", you're still the only one who finds it entertaining.
Beamy can be more level-headed and make good points if he really wants to (unlike Slav and Gokuma), but he needs to stop using slurs in every single post for no reason. What's the point of calling Stodgy nigger, even jokingly, when he's trying to get his message across? He's not going to take him seriously like that. I know that's rich coming from me, but if you really need to use slurs in every single comment you make, Doom forums are not the place for it, especially when you have KF for that, where you can vent your frustrations in a more extreme manner. Me and others were doing the same on ToD not long ago, when there was no direction, but now that the admin of the forum says he's not okay with it, what's the point of pouring more oil in the fire, when all that's going to lead to is inevitable ban? That's a question to Slav as well. Do you want to get banned from yet another forum? I'm not defending Stodgy either, as i said, he was too late to realize that he's the admin, and because of that, now he has to deal with the challenge of changing the atmosphere that he allowed to be created.
Beamy might turn on me for saying that, but being predictable and repetitive in your conduct for the sake of edginess, is not going to help people to like him. Even if they agree with him, they'll get fed up at some point by the constant raging and insult throwing at other users. If you agree with the idea that the users of ToD should be united, it doesn't make sense to act in a way that will get most of them to turn against you over time, even if they share similar views on the state of Doomworld and the community as a whole. The constant inner fighting, the favoritism and backstabbing of users in DMs by the admin... all of that needs to stop. This is not about censorship, or attracting new users - it's about creating a good environment for everyone that is already there. A forum where users hate each other, has no future.

You got your money's worth, @crunchy bits are the best ! I finally decided to leave that once great forum to rot. They lost another valuable member of theirs, being of a lesser degree than before. Since TimeOfDeath gave ownership away to stodgytard that place met its own destiny. stodgy had no idea on what to do with what he was given, the members ran wild, the damage had been done...yet stodgytard simply loves to live in a delusion of his own making. He still believes in his polisocial crusade to cleanse the forum of all bad, yet it will not succeed in his favor. The users will either castrate themselves to appease stodgytard's pleases or leave, and the former is most likely to happen. All those precious mappers want to keep at their pitiful mapsets as I once did when I was a Troonworlder myself. They think that they still are able to get anything out of the door which will become popular or infamous with what "stained reputation" they now possess. I am bright enough to realize that that aspect of Doom mapping/modding is done for me, unless I get clever, which these niggers can not. Your name will be akin to a warning sign to many troonies and your maps will be hard to get. No one and their threads will survive troonie moderation. The /idgames website is run independently outside of Troonworld's control (and is the objectively better version of the archive) so do not think that I simply jump to conclusions, or that I search for anything to make a point with. It is the bare, naked truth.
No tourists searching for a Doom forum will ever be sane enough in their sanitized state to hop on ToD. They see a barely active forum with many "controversial figures", the first community project of the entire forum is an insult to Troonworld's favorites, and they may fall out of favor with the community that they want to connect with. Newcomers always want to achieve this digital fame and fortune, and that will simply not be found on ToD. ToD was never supposed to be that tourist attraction, instead it was conceived by TimeOfDeath as a forum for himself and those of his following and opinion. The extremes were cherished and evaluated by his, most infamously the ID24 thread joke. That already shut off profitable tourism, and stodgytard cannot live with the fact that he is going against the very core of the forum. He thinks that his vision is accurate to and supposed to be ToD, and he will sacrifice anything to achieve it. Too late, you fucking nigger, the cat is out of the hat! Was not Becky999's warning from Troonworld a good warning? I know that he is the worst troll of Doom, yet he tried to shame ToD on Troonworld because his troll play did not go out properly, so it is still more than valid to use. The enemy always provides for an good aspect.
At last, ToD is simply not prepared for growth anyway. The forum at its current pace would be suffocated by an influx of multiple new users and what drama and other arguments it could bring. My first thread and Becky999's discussions were boiling the forum in an instant. Now imagine that with larger scaling. ToD would explode like a brownoid terrorist! stodgytard would be overloaded with threads, replies, and users, leading to a further strafe from his direction. That would lead to stodgytard wildly appointing incompetence and creating worser moderation. The users will flood the forums with useless and/or spammy contributions, including terrible wads. Then come the constant arguments against da newbies and within the veterans. Finally, once control loosens up, Troonworld will snatch up ToD and castrate it like they did with the Groomer Troons. That is the most likely outcome with current developments in mind. Stodgytard must have a plan for growth, not terrible ideas, lest that realisitc scenario is going to occure. But, once again, with complete honesty, he will not make it. Stodgytard already has issues keeping his own retard cycle under control, how does he imagine even having a larger forum? Jannies are needed, set rules are needed, and to enforce them is where consequences step in place, yet he does not act out said consequences. He let Becky999 have a last try at his terrible trolling and let me continue on with rightful bashing and criticism. I had to take it upon myself to step outside the priding walls! I bet he will act surprised when "future bad actors" destroy his fantasies, despite him having the ring on his finger to rub. All that power simply came over his head and ego...
My future plans for Doom are to use Kiwi and Discord to connect to the actual "last bastion" of its once great community and to heal up old wounds. The rightful departure of @Zacharin X (Tangra is a better name lel.) had already left me with no one to connect to on that side of the forum and the great reception I received on here makes me hopeful to find true people to befriend. I will map and mod eventually, now being able to go through with my own and at a better pace, and help out fellow KiwiDoomers with anything Doom-related, especially anything in the literate and organizational department. The most current mod I am sitting on has the most potential on Vanilla subversion, so I may share progress once it is informative. Already created a new structure for this documentation, now we need a proper Doom sub-section and everything will be set! As a side note, I stand correct. joe-ilya is currently facing issues with ToD's ProBoards usage, and he was not the first. When the forum already shoots itself more than Epstein you know how terrible it is. Whenever I write MY POINTS ARE ALWAYS FUCKING PROVEN!

Here's the thing about the "tourist attracting" situation. It's wrong to think that everyone outside ToD would be a useless tourist who will make the forum 10 times worse if they register. I guarantee you there are a lot of Doom fans out there who don't like the state of Doomworld, who would agree with the criticism we have for Doomworld, and would love to join in on some good old Doomworld bashing. But a lot of these people will never join ToD. or DB, because they don't want to be a part of a forum where there's nothing but rage, insults and no substance in the discussions. This goes to my previous post... if the users respect each other, and they're clever about how they mock Doomworld, instead of dropping slurs in every sentence, they'll attract a lot more users that have the same state of mind and opinion of Doomworld. They also don't like to see a Doom forum that is heavy on political discussions. Tod is yet to go completely off the edge in that regard, but my god, DB turned into an absolute shithole thanks to 40iq. The death of Charlie Kirk was the third worst thing that could happen to that forum (the second worst being Kontra as admin, and the absolute worst, 40iq as the other admin).
Having rules, not just as something for everyone to follow, but also as an easy way to understand what a forum is all about, is a good thing. Creating a list of rules for ToD was my idea. Notice how none of the Doom forums actually have rules, and there's chaos everywhere. In Doomworld in particular, the moderators decide who to ban, based on their personal feelings and their zodiac sign. "Oh, our only rule is "Don't be an asshole" follow that and you'll be fine". What a load of bs. That is so vague, every mod have their own definition of what asshole behavior is. "Fuck this guy, he doesn't agree with my virtue signaling, ban him".
New users will come, read the rules to a forum and decides if the place is right for them. Much better than no rules at all, and raging chaos and inner hate between the users. It's not about getting more eyes on your maps either, it's about having an active forum, because then that forum will provide you with a daily dose of entertainment and interesting content to read/play, instead of sitting for 12 hours waiting for someone to drop a comment, and then that comment is from Tainted Slav, and you're like "Fuck! I'm not reading that shit!".
I couldn't care less if my maps get 50 downloads or 5000, but i'd love to have a classic forum about my favorite hobby, that i can visit every day and have new and interesting stuff to read and respond to. That's what it's all about. Doomworld was never that, the place is boring as hell. It's a hugbox, all the same opinions, all the same shit from everyone. You can't even make a joke without getting a warning, and what they consider funny, won't make a third-grader laugh. Doomer Boards was never that due to 40iq ruining the fun for everyone. ToD could have been that, but now the stuff a lot of us are entertained by, annoy the admin.
ToD doesn't need rules now, it needed the rules last year, to set the tone when it would've mattered. Things could've been much better and more productive now. Not to mention, the site could have been a lot busier. I don't know what Stodgy plans to do now, but I'll never agree with him on his whining about the Doomworld discussion. I'll only agree that we should mock them, not rage at them, otherwise, we'll be the laughingstock. @chuck_donut at some point they nearly convinced you i was that LFG character on Doomer Boards, are they?. How did that happen? Similarities in the writing style? I never saw that, to be honest. But i have a good theory who it might be - I Drink Lava. I can't be 100% sure, but he sent me more of his correspondence with Stodgy, and there was one phrase that caught my attention in the LFG post - Freedom of speech is not freedom of consequence. A common leftist spiel, but IDL said the same to Stodgy in his rants. I sadly can't prove it because, i can't find all the screencaps from his messages. I either forgot to make them, or deleted them by accident.
By the way, i'm almost certain that IDL leaked Stodgy's messages to me, because he wanted me to put them out in the open. He seemed very disappointed at first, when i wanted to ignore the drama, and keep my place on the forum. I bet his master plan was to destroy ToD, though it was naive of him to think that leak alone would be enough. Forums survive through much worse (40iq). It would've taken Stodgy throwing every single user under the bus and leaving the forum without an admin, for it to go downhill.
IDL was very mad at CCP getting "only 150 downloads" on ModDB, and that killed his enjoyment of participating in the community. What did he expect to happen? 10k downloads and a CacoOscar to his name? He talked a lot of shit in these messages to Stodgy, but it was so difficult to read, i couldn't make sense to what his problem was. He was angry about everything - DW, DB, ToD, the whole community, and he was mad at Stodgy as well, but i couldn't say why exactly, except for him seething over the low download count of CCP and every Doom forum turning into shit. I don't know what happened to this guy, i used to like him a lot when he first registered on ToD. He talked a lot about classic wads and clearly knew his stuff. His new negative attitude seems to be a cause of depression. Even at my lowest, angriest state, around mid-2024, i was never such a nihilist like this guy. One day he'll feel better, and will regret doing what he did.
I'm curious, did he say anything in the shoutbox, after i leaked the message? Or did he disappear entirely? I'm asking because that's the only part of the forum i can't see.
