Doug Walker, aka Nostalgia Critic, is the whole reason why That Guy With The Glasses (TGWTG) exists. People have been calling for a thread of his own for a while, and there is a good reason.

He began his career making 'Five Second Movies', in which a movie is summed up in 5 seconds on YouTube. When he got copyright striked on one of his vids, he deleted ALL of the videos, teamed up with Mike Michaud and made TGWTG.com. Doug posted his Nostalgia Critic videos there using the Blip format. When the Blip format died in 2013/2014, Doug returned to YouTube with Channel Awesome. Sometime before the return to YouTube, Doug announced he was no longer going to do Nostalgia Critic and went on to do some shitty show that no one gave a fuck about that failed faster than a blind man trying to drive. He hired some actors and they did *something*.

This man has been BEGGING for a thread on here. He claims to review nostalgic movies when a) maybe 1/2 of the movies he reviews now are NOT nostalgic/just freakin' came out (and require poorly acted, poorly written, unfunny enactments like Pixels) and b) all he does is spoil the plot of the movie without any research presented about it and nitpicks the small shit like if this is suitable for kids and minor plot points and barely counts as a review. Not to mention the shit he's done his fellow 'contributors' with the help of his brother, Rob Walker, and Mike Michaud.

I used to like the Nostalgia Critic, the old stuff before his break. Mainly because the reviews I would watch are movies that I'm never gonna see anyways. When he came back from his break, I was turned off by the stupid skits. They're really not funny. The only good post-hiatus episode was Food Fight, just because the skit was him having a breakdown like a five-year-old. The last time I watched a 'new' episode was Tentacolino and it was boring. I remember the stupid skit with the actors he has on the show now stealing a rocket for... some reason. It was nonsensical and stupid. Nostalgia Critic has become the internet reviewing Family Guy - skits are way too long and not funny, too many attempts and jokes that just fail, and people behind it not caring anymore. Malcolm (the black guy) is the only decent actor there, the rest of them are just bland and boring. Don't get me started on the stupid re-enactment episodes...

I don't think he's all that bad. Some of his reviews might not be like in the old days but they are informative and I will admit I watch his commercial specials religiously because of his insights and his making fun of Canadian and British commercials are pretty funny.

The only review that he's done that I will say is bad and a bit unjustified was the one he did for Ponyo and I guess the Christmas with Kranks one. He could've actually did a little more work on them and did a little less with the skits in between.
