"Doxing" in 2025

Honestly, acting shocked pikachu face that the majority of people don't see doxing as 'posting publicly available information' is a bit much, people haven't associated the term doxing with that for at least a decade now.

The 'don't touch poo' policy has always been in conflict with the vibrant and plentiful posting of personal info, let's not lie to ourselves, guys.
It doesn't matter if it's public and easy to find, by posting it here on this site you're inviting stupid people to touch poo no matter what the rules say and it's willfully ignorant to pretend that posting a person's personal info isn't going to often directly lead to SOMEONE here or someone reading here pozloading my neghole. It's going to happen, and acting like we don't all know it happens is kind of ridiculous. I'm not saying that it's illegal and evil, just that people have always used that info to do dumb shit.

Everyone already knows the farms as 'that place where everyone gets doxxed' and changing the language to some new shiny word isn't going to change people's perception of the site or trick people who want to take it down or call it illegal into thinking the site isn't still a hive of cyberbullying and gleeful harassment by evil doxxers. I honestly don't see how changing the wording is going to help, I think we're way past that point. There's really no easy way out of the association and repercussions. I feel like we all knew the risks.

Yeah, I know: dumb/autistic/insert negrating.

If you really want people to stop saying dox, turn it into some retarded emoji. That way, instead of "dox" showing up, some retarded smile will show up. It is kinda like how an "8" and a ")" get turned into 8) regardless of context but on purpose.

The problem with any euphemism that Josh has proposed is that, to me, it comes off as exactly what it is: a euphemism. We don't want to be associated with the term "dox", so we're inventing some stupid new name for the same activity. It doesn't matter that the actual practice of "doxing" is just compiling public information--to outsiders it still looks bad, like we have something to hide. "Sunshining" and "unmasking" sound terrible to me for this reason. Besides, dox works as a verb or a noun, while these are only verbs; are we gonna ask if someone's mask-off is available somewhere? "Is Keffals out in the sun in his thread?"

"Documenting" is the right term. That's all it is. If someone has been documented on KF, we know what it means, and it doesn't come across like a euphemism for something illegal in Australia. It's a literal description of the activity.

Just use “Googled”

It’s been suggested a few times and it’s basically where and how peoples info is found. As well as the entity storing it in some way shape or form. Plus it’ll fuck with everyone whining about it.
I second this. Don't use a catchy, cool sounding l33t haxxor term, just call it what it is. That's half the problem is that people want to be seen as cool for posting someone's info, it gives all the retarded normies out there the impression that the "victim" was hacked or something, whereas calling it what it is removes any confusion and makes it clear that the "victim" is just a retard who doesn't practice a modicum of opsec. It places the onus on the "victim" where it belongs.

Not gonna read 44 pages to see if it's already been suggested, but the Japanese term used for doxing is "bleaching."
since it's so hard

Yeah, I completely agree. It's like switching out suicide for unaliving. It's a euphemism (an especially idiotic one) and does nothing to change the concept. Everyone still knows exactly what it means and it doesn't change anyone's perception of that meaning.

Will this actually *do* anything for us? As long as we get accused of daaahxing it doesn't matter what *we* call it
We should probably come up with a whole new vocabulary that will completely make us look awesome and keen again. Like instead of calling people retards we can call them exceptional individuals. Instead of calling people trannies we can call them people of gender.

Then nobody will ever come after us again because we'll be good boys.

Receipts or 411 is already widely used and understood to mean sharing information. In the case of receipts, it’s additionally information to prove something.

So those are what I’ll use although I rarely 411 anybody. It’s harder to turn a mild word with a benign meaning that normies have used for years against you. Doxing is still one of those words that is vaguely ominous to normies and moreso to redditors, if they even know it. Easy to add it to the law books.

They are coming for us and our kin boys, don’t let them.

Annoyed me for the longest time that TL;DR got messed up. I think it removed it from my online vernacular.

Edit: looks like it got fixed, some Mandela effect or was it changed? Anyway my point is yeah change dox into unmask or some other gay phrase.

If we're concerned about trannies and the media using our terms, we should just call it 'niggerfagging'. They'd never steal that.

"Niggerfagged for a while and discovered..."
"Very interesting niggerfaggotry below..."
"I was niggerfaggot and I found this..."
"I was doing some niggerfaggotry and look what I found..."

Or, instead of 'dox' we could say 'dix', because all trannies have one.

"Check out the dix on these troons, they're insane!"
"I dug up this tranny's old dix!"

Just use “Googled”

Seriously, though, I feel like this is the correct answer.

I feel like using cool l33t haxx0r kiddie terms like we're LARPing we're in The Matrix or something is honestly just kinda gay in 2025. Just say 'Googled', because nine times out ten, that's all you're doing. If you say 'Googled', you're describing something that even the most tech-averse normie knows how to do. It robs the practice of any kind of mystique or menace. It's basic shit. Everyone Googles stuff to find out about more.

It's also kind of a wonderful knockout punch, precisely because it makes it sound so simple.

"This person thinks that the Kiwi Farms should be shut down and stricken from the Internet, but I Googled them and it turns out they raped their little cousin!" or whatever.

I like the term "differentiated."

One time, someone on here explained that PhoneBooking/posting Google of someone is a good thing, because it differentiates that person from other people with the same name who live in the same area.

For example, there's another guy named Aaron Imholte who lives in Minnesota. While he's probably not thrilled that the only other person with the same name as him lives close and is making a fool out of himself, he probably feels some relief in the fact that he can point to the personal information available and clarify it's not him. Since the public information of Aaron Imholte is documented, he has been differentiated from all other people with the same name.

Infodump is the most concise term and already part of the lexicon.

"a very large amount of information supplied all at once, especially as background information in a narrative"

How about “fisting”?

It’s descriptive, memorable and half these niggerfaggot cows probably participate it in.
