Finally finished Goku's story, holy shit was it bloated and needing to do most of the scenes again with the other characters doesn't help. The main issue is that by now I'm good enough that no battle is really too hard.

Really? i felt they were skipping alot of fights. not as bad as BT3 but still. that becomes apparent with the other characters like Gohan and Trunks.

It's still non-stop Goku fights for like 70 times. I wish they'd swap out characters or forced you to play others in-between so it wouldn't be as stale. Vegeta in comparison has maybe a quarter of the content and nothing post Z.

If you know the episode where it was mentioned that the Namekians were banished, I would be grateful.

Piccolo said in today's episode that came out that the Namekians voluntarily left the demon realm because they did not want to be controlled (he didn't say where he heard that from, to be honest I find it hard to imagine how he got the information). They also talked a bit about the concept of ears, that not everyone who has pointy ears automatically belongs to the demon race, which is strange, you would think that the demon race is one of the oldest races in Dragon Ball.

Toriyama’s narrative art was not the best during his lifetime. Remember Vegeta's SSG transformation which was never explained in Dragon Ball Super.

Toriyama said he was more involved "than usual". If anything, this is him trying up loose ends.

from what I understand he wrote the whole thing this time like he did on the last couple movie scripts.

that said, I kinda like the demon thing because I think the idea is that the Namekians were demons who left and populated various places in the stars and created dragon balls wherever they went and I think that's kinda cool. It explains why Daimao could create and conjure monsters that weren't just other Namekians.

Wouldn't Kami have known that? Unless Nail and Kami have been fully assimilated that he can't have discussions with them anymore, going to assume they still talk sometimes.

The waffling on Namekian origins sounds annoying, but this wouldn't be the first time they did some retconning and likely won't be the last.
