have we decided what we think of daima yet?
Aside from introducing continuity errors, it's pretty solid. It's the most consistent in quality DB has been since Z. Super & GT had higher highs and lower lows,

This nigger finally got Ssj3, wonder if they'll still use it after Daima.

It created a plot hole because there's no way he wouldn't have used it against Beerus in Super, which takes place after Daima. Still a cool fight but it makes no sense.

Tbf the whole artstyle looks more chibbi than the original child versions of the characters, like the heads are about twice the size they should be.
They're also just too damn slim, like everyone in DBS. In Dragon Ball they were maybe a little too chunky, Chichi kinda looked fat and Krillin was a bit pudgy too. Z had a good balance, Daima Goku should look more like Z Goten did.

One would also think that Vegeta, the man trying to be one step ahead of Goku, would have done everything to perfect SSJ3, I really wonder if Akira really wanted that.

Probably not because more hair meant more drawing. It is weird it wasn't ran with more in other media, though. Personally think it suits Vegeta better than Goku. It so flashy and over the top, plus Vegeta has a caveman look to him anyway.

He looks so goofy
I don't think it would look bad if the hair was just longer and pointed straight back where as Gokus would curl to his lower back, but be away from his body.

Toyotaro's is fucking ass. I don't understand why anyone gargles his balls when his art style is fucking retarded. Fenyo to me is the true successor to Tori's art style.

Akira really wanted that.
He forgot SS2 even existed. He stopped caring about DB when he did the last page of Z and let Toei rape it for thirty years.

I really like Diama. Duu and Kuu's dynamic and personalities are enjoyable and you can see Toriyama's influence with how they're written. Granted I'm a fan of most his work and not just Dragon Ball (or for most specifically Toei's Z anime), so the emphasis of gags and adventure throughout new lands has been fun. Only downside is a little too much time in the spaceship and a bit of a slow startup in the beginning 6-7 episodes.
And I get that some people are not happy with the designs of Kuu or Duu, but I feel this is due to a good chunk of the DBZ fanbase being mostly ignorant of Toriyama's thought process and how he had always borrowed design elements from prior designs and/or carrying them over from other works (see: Cashman's face design in 1990 before Cooler and Perfect Cell's debut in 91 and 92)

Of course he didn't take it seriously. He didn't have a grand scheme for anything and was just writing on the edge of his pants, coming up with plot elements on a weekly basis to meet the quota deadline by Shueisha. I don't blame him for forgetting SS2, in 2013 it had been 21 years since he introduced it with the highlight of its form being additional sparks and slightly sleeker hair. Dragon Ball was just entertainment in his and the eyes of his editors and there's nothing wrong with the idea that Dragon Ball should just be treated as simple entertainment.
And just to clarify; Super Saiyan 2 as an official name of the form wasn't introduced until well over year later when Goku confronted Majin Buu. It was a way for Toriyama to distinguish Super Saiyan 3 and the utterance of "Super Saiyan 2" wasn't mentioned after in the manga, because before that the form was just the final perfected version of all the cluster of grade forms introduced throughout the Cell arc.

Toriyama really failed upward with DB considering he wanted to end the series after the Friza saga
And while it was a good ending, I much prefer leaving the series with ending after Cell. I think it's very fitting Gohan taking the lead and Goku saying goodbye. And then... we get the shitty Buu saga where it doesn't know who it wants to be the main character.
