I looked it up but progressing the main quest too fast also locks you out of Moore's questline, but that's the problem with playing blind, I almost missed Ranni's quest and entirely walked past Sellen, Rogier, Alexander's, and the quest of that one dumb forgettable guy who tries to infiltrate volcano manor in the main game the first time.
Honestly the biggest problem with Elden Ring imo. They go way too far with the "we wont hold your hand" design when it comes to what story there is. Way way too easy to miss out on things. Like Milicent, insanely easy to miss her when shes at Altus Plateau.

Like at least give me a journal that tracks conversations ive had so I can refer back to them without having to go to youtube.

Not having a quest and enemy encyclopedia is criminal, especially when one does exist but it's purely physical and only in Japanese

Goldmask is Radagon RC Cola edition. His fix is letting the Fingers back into the control room, he gives them admin privileges basically and the Fingers are literally making shit up. He doesn’t understand that Marika caught on to the bullshit she smashed the ring in realization that the Fingers don’t have a clue.

He doesn’t realize that no one’s at the wheel. The Elden Beast and Fingers are operating on old instructions and Goldmask is unaware of the bigger issue.
Not really, Gold Mask abandoned the Golden Order of the Fundamentalists, which is what Radagon and the Fingers follow, and while it's not explained how he did it he, was able to discover a transcendental truth.
Key word being discovered, in both English and Japanese the Rune of Perfect Order isn't something anybody made, it already existed and Gold Mask sacrificed his life to discover retrieve it.
Personally I'm more inclined to believe that since he's throwing away the gods that he discovered the Greater Will and that Marika did not represent it, and that's how he got the Rune of Perfect order.
It's worth nothing the Greater Will is never described as being a God, which means a pagan style god in Elden Ring. Or an Outer God, which both the Japanese and English are clear on being outside gods meddling in the affairs of mortals.

>Goldmask trannies coping

He literally does the same thing the others do and creates a great rune and dies creating it. He never abandons Golden Order Fundementalism, he just tries to cope with Marika using it and never actually backing it. He communicates through autistic finger gestures that all hardcore Fundamentalists learn.

Melina’s dialogue basically has Marika trash the religion she founded. Also, the Greater Will is just the demiurge. It’s literally reference to an old From Soft game that failed.

I might be completely unpopular here, but was I the only one who vehemently did not like the Ranni ending? It feels like an ass pull to give people a power fantasy and a hot chick to bone.
Ranni just throws that shit out the window and says "No actually, you can defeat them! You have a chance to! You just have to bone this chick!"
Have sex. Engage in heterosexual coitus for the purposes of reproduction. Do not fall for the trap femboy meme, do not give in to nihilism. You, the male gamer, win the game by having children with a woman.

I have mixed feelings on her involvement with killing Godwyn. He was her one and only golden child. A perfect son. I do think she always had contingencies in place in the form of the Tarnished to ensure she could fight back against the GW but she was clearly quite vexxed about having freak babies over and over. I find it unlikely she would have cast away her one good son so frivolously.

Ranni always claims direct responsibility for killing Godwyn and never at any point mentions or implies Marika's involvement from what I can remember, which leads me to believe it was a plan of her own making.

Hard to say for sure though.
Marika has implied involvement due to the Black Knife Assassins being her Numen kin who were close to her, and her betrayal of Malekith
Since the Fingers were planning on Ranni becoming a god, even giving her Blaidd while leaving Miquella and Malenia with half-sibling beasts, although now that i think about it I think Marika planning for her own death but the Nox betraying and Ranni her by going after Godwyn instead, then during the shattering war once Godfroy's attack on the capital failed the Nox were banished underground once they started killing off the Fingers, although they evidently didn't kill Ranni's.
Then Astel fucked up the Eternal City that was now no longer part of Leyndell and the other two fell to their own schemes.

Yeah, that's the only thing that really points towards her being directly responsible to some extent. It's hard to say for certain but I get why people read into it more as all being part of Marika's keikaku.

Then you have the weirdness with the Black Knives apparently turning on Ranni, though. I wonder if Godwyn's death was always in the cards and where things went off the rails and where Marika's grief enters the picture comes in the sense that he was not meant to be soul-killed but just regular killed, then maybe brought back later.

Anyway, I dunno, I'm still seething about Radahn being the consort and not Godwyn.

Can you blame him? He saw that people hated his intended ending, GRRM's options are keep chugging or massively change the story to pander.
He’s never finished a series.

His previous sci-fi series is abandoned and Game of Thrones will never get a proper ending. It’ll have a basic outline, but it’ll ultimately lack impact because he’s a giant faggot who really doesn’t understand myth like the writers he critiques.

He’s also one of those faggots who loves Cosmic horror and Lovecraft.

I think I figured out why the final boss doesn't feel right to me. You don't actually damage Miquella once during the fight. Yeah you can freeaim I guess but it's not like Twin Princes where you wail on Lothric to put them down, no King Allant third phase to smack a useless god that needed someone stronger to leech off of, not even an Orphan of Kos ghost that dies in one hit to trigger the cutscene. He just stops existing after Radahn dies, which is weird considering the DLC goes into great detail of the level of efort and sacrifice to get to this point.

I'm not. I'm perfectly fine with the devs not shitting on the Prince of Death by making him Miquella's cuck. I want them as far from Godwyn's soul as possible, I don't want them messing up the Helphen Steeple or the afterlife outside of Erdtree reincarnation, I'm even fine with people just saying his soul was obliterated and does not exist, just let it be ambiguous because it's better that way. Anything is better for most characters than being Miquella's bouncer... Except for Godrick and possibly Rennala I guess but for anyone else it'd be a complete step down.

I wanted them to have Godwyn come back, but then immediately kill Miquella prior to the boss.

Anyway, I disagree with the public perception for most of the bosses so far but General Gaius is genuinely one of the worst Fromsoft bosses ever made. This thing is genuinely pure cancer. Is there ANY reason to actually fight him or should I just ignore him? Getting instant killed right out the gate because my character is too busy scratching his ass to summon torrent, because the fucking prompt hasn't activated, genuinely made me want to put my fist through my own dick.

I just realized, he has the same name of the final boss of dust an elysian tail, lmao.
Regardless, dark souls 2 and 3 had both gave us their best and worst bosses in their DLCs and it's not really an hot take of a statement; champion gravetender, the cave of the dead trio, the spear of the church, blue smeltee demon and the twin cats from the frigid hellhole; feel free to throw gaius among them.

I think it should have been killing Godwyn’s soulless body just possessed by some outer god. Phase 1 or even a Genichiro-like boss fight where you fight Merman Godwyn before he flees to be killed later after shedding the clamshell and going under a metamorphosis. The concept of Godwyn being fully gone, but something else fully manifesting in his body.

The Graverobber trio is fine. It’s not the best boss, but it’s above average. The boss room and having to seperate them was what made it fun.

Spear of the Church is them trying to do another Mirror Knight and failing. It wasn’t the absolute worst, but they forgot that anyone in the DLC would likely have a cancerous build, especially pvp players.

PVP spear of the chirch is ass, NPC spear of the church is just as bad.
The cave of the dead trio feels lazy, since area itself feels like an aftermath, the reward at the end is a stupid skirt and the trio is 3 NPCs with random armor sets.
I do hate more blue smelter and gravetender, but those two are still bad fights, ealilt on part with the worst boss of their respective mainline game.

I don't get it. I don't get the assmad. I knocked out Beast on the first try, Relanna on the second, and most of the other things people have been complaining about - like Bayle - really weren't that bad. I've been below the """"recommended""""" scadu blessings for most of them, though I've yet to feel any need to look up where they are because I don't feel especially flimsy. Between using damage negation talismans, damage negation incantations / food, and the damage negation tear - I can make plenty of mistakes in a given fight before I finally croak.

Other than Igon for Do The Quest At Least Once purposes, I don't use spirit ashes or anything. There's no reason for me to stay at 150, so I've been between that and 160 or so. Like... are people mad that you have to adapt to what the bosses are doing instead of L2L2L2L2L2? Divine Beast 2 actually made me run Order Healing, a spell that I had otherwise written off as completely useless trash, and it's been great to see all these things that are completely fucking useless in the base game suddenly have an actual purpose.
Who is judging you based on whether or not you beat shadow of the erdtree before they nerfed skibidi fragments?
I want to experience hard, satisfying fights instead of boring, easy fights. What they did to OG Radahn, even after reversing course, has made him far less fun to fight.
The change to the fragments is just something I've interpreted as a bad omen of things to come.
His autism.
So I thought you were a poe at one point, but I guess not. Remind me - how much money, and how many hours of your life, have you spent on a game series that you, every single time, complain about hating and being garbage and being shit and you'll never buy another of again? Why do you keep doing it, exactly?

No. Armored Core VI is just as terrible as this DLC.

Stop pretending this is not the case. I bet in 2 years you'll be talking about how awesome Shadow of the Shittree actually was.
What's your favourite AC game, by the way? I won't accept any answers that aren't 2, AA, LR or 4A.

With current state of entertainment industry it is not suprising that they would try to exploit hype of game to create some shitty show or movie.
My only question is what even would this movie be about?

I finished Ansbachs quest so I knew last boss will be Radahn in Moghs body. When I reached divine gate. I was disappointed when boss model was just Radahn model with couple of horns on his arms. Imo they should have go full bloodborne body horror. To represent how this wholle thing is really fucked up.

He's guarding 5 Scadu tree fragments, I beat him by summoning Taylew the Golem Smith which Gaius got stuck on and then I fought him as normal without torrent or any using any specific gimmicks.
Also, you can roll through his charge attack, but the timing is very tricky.
Personally I think the bosses should only use their bum rush attack if you enter the arena with a companion of immediately use spirit ashes, enemies already react to your first frame of animation, which is about 16 milliseconds, 10 times human reaction time, so their animations reads should probably be slowed down in order to give you time to properly react.
But if you don't use Spirit Ashes or any form of npc or online summon the enemies shouldn't frame read at all.
I think this is generally a good idea, those annoying bum rush attacks remove or hamper the ability for the player to properly space themselves, probably because the boss is trying to account for coop or Spirit Ash elements you may or may not have which make certain fights like Maliketh and Gaius extremely annoying.
