I remember stumbling across their article on Chris-Chan all the way back in 2009 and briefly posting on the forums in 2015. It honestly feels real sobering seeing both be reduced to nothing but putrefied corpses, and I agree that the best thing its owners can do at this point is kill it off.

I think they should just lock ED and leave it preserved as a memorial of internet history.
They had some good, concise takes on Kiwifarms drama like Shaner and Donny Long back in 2016-17 that led me to this place. I think the last good page they ever did was the one on their former admin Couch Cuck.

Speaking of Donny, Eddie’s article was restored but they restored the shitty attack article that Donny wrote. They should revert to the version that was written by neither of them like Donny’s article but even his is grossly out of date.
As someone who has enjoyed ED since it was owned by Girlvinyl I’d also agree that the wiki is a goddamn train wreck. Missing images, wildly out of date articles, faggots writing attack article about someone who upset them but aren’t cows, etc. I don’t know how to go about fixing it since management is always inept and replacing lost content is sometimes impossible but the wiki is a sad shell of its former self.

2014 they were all over the Gamergate spergs, after that every article with any effort put into it was about some member of the forum, like donny long or dropdatwat, or couchcuck.
like i said upthread, GirlVinyl was the only one that gave a fuck, and after that it was left to rot. the only legacy that website has is EZPZ using it as a way to be an e-celeb, which is the worst legacy possible. They might as well have museum-ed it up in 2011, it would have been better than letting it die out to attrition. 2015 onwards it was just a clubhouse for the members to belittle each other in, and use the domain and website's infamous legacy to manipulate people.

At that point the only reason to ever visit ED is because of the archaic and obscure internet phenomena of the 2000s. Everything outside of that period has more reliable info on KnowYourMeme or this very site.

Is it true that Girlvinyl still owns the original encyclopediadramatica.com domain? I remember some oldfags on the old forum talking about how she refused to give it up even years later and no matter how many times they asked or offered money for it.

So conrad arrested, site dying, nobodies fought over ED then this guy aediot who runs a totally legit forum on dark web that helps totally not criminals escape detection, explaining how youd get from the attacker perspective for totally safety reasons and not to assist cyber crime,takes over steals ED for himself. I don't know if I really want to talk to people who were cool on the internet ten years ago. One thing I've learned from reading up on the collapse of SA is people who constantly talk about being oldfags really don't have much interesting to say. I enjoyed ED probably around 2009-2014, and I realize the EDiots are different from the Goons, but at a certain point you have to move on from these dead websites. ED is still an OK historical reference for old shit, at least in between the endless nigger jokes, but that's all it is.
