Just about every Mexican mechanic I've seen knows their way around a truck. They're either having to fix some sort of damage he picked up from driving drunk or he's promising to pay them once he scrapes together enough pesos. Maybe both.

Or he smelled like pig shit dowsed in booze and was scaring customers away with his bender stank. If I was staff at any restaurant he walked into I would assume he's a homeless drunk and tell him to leave immediately.

There is a universe where he was quiet but visibly intoxicated and was forcefully encouraged to leave. I have lived in a resort town for a few years. If you are publicly inebriated after 8pm-ish, people look past it. If you are wasted after 10pm, no problem the locals are right there with you. The problem arises when people are out with their kids, have some drinks at the beach, just keep your shit together. If you are stumbling and slurring into your phone during family hours, people will take it upon themselves to remove you from the establishment. That all being said, the most likely scenario involved him being loud and obnoxious as soon as he walked in.
 
You just quietly and respectfully ordered some sushi and some guy took issue with you? Doesn't sound like a very Ralphamale story to me.

This is just like the time airport staff were mean to you "because you're white". You were 100% being a belligerent dipshit visibly and audibly under the influence of something.

Telling people about their open hostility seems ok to me.

But him taking this long to become aware of their hatred and hostility toward Americans is delusional at best and fucking stupid at worst.

Antabuse only makes you sound fucked up under certain circumstances. Very weird, it's certainly not because he's trying to drink while on it and that's why the locals had enough of his slovenly behavior. It must be a rare side effect not listed or previously observed.
