The more you clog up the thread with the same "rent free lol" template posts the more they'll pretend to not care by not acknowledging the farms on the forum, and the fewer easy laughs we'll get until it's yet another rpgnet or resetera.

That was Aspen. They had a clique of people who were always permabanned and awaiting Garry's Birthday. They were all extremely strange.

Most of them changed their usernames to distance themselves from that past in like 2015.



At the end Facepunch was majority North American and I suspect that it was in the early years as well. However, that data seems lost to time.

Dumb question, I'm not a native english speaker and generally not the sharpest tool in the shed, what does "Bad Faith" mean? Wikipedia didn't work for me. Is this another trendy term used for "banned cuz u hater" even if the opponent in argument is technically right?

In the general sense bad faith means someone is not being genuine and honest in a debate.

On KO it means your line of thinking is wrong and dangerous. Also you're probably a Nazi.

On KO and Resetera is specifically means you're not arguing with an open mind. "You didn't change your mind after seeing my argument so you're not taking this seriously/you're trolling", etc.

They can't help themselves, reminds me of how every Sseth video thread would get turned into a bunch of miserable fucks being "concerned" that his humour was too unPC for them and how it was appealing to the "alt-right". You're not allowed to just enjoy things on knockout, everything has to become an obnoxious political debate.

The ratings tell an interesting story.

You know, Resetera also has this problem. A huge % of Resetera users never really touch the insanity of that site because they spend most of their time in threads with their own communities and values. This particular Knockout thread even discusses an example of that on Knockout - the Minecraft thread. Apparently that thread has not degenerated into moralizing about Notch and Jens. These sites are more similar than I thought.

I have the issue were when I want to post an update to this thread pointing someone who's gone kooky, they're so deluded that I don't want to single then out to ridicule them because they're not harmful yet and seem insane, they're just misguided without a direction in life.

I just hope whoever is on that site who's being trans to fit in finds themselves, and whoever is doing it because they feel that's their true identity only grows stronger in themselves.

The issue with knockout isn't that it's too liberal, it's that it's absurdly one sided. It's the inconsistent nut jobs I can't respect. Hopefully this thread has helped some of them.

i wouldn't give a fuck about the leftism on KO if it wasn't a huge dogpile hivemind anytime someone speaks against it.

Say something not in the general KO hivemind? congrats, you've been dumbed to hell, replied to 5,000 times, hit with every gotcha lolxd comeback in the book and now you're being banned for "bad faith arguing" because you cant possibly reply to the snarky comments faster than they come in.

the community wonders why they're losing members but they forget they chase out anyone who isn't in their little clique
