ex ko/facepuncher here. left a little while back & just remembered this thread existed. i don't buy into all the rightoid brain rot some people on this site push but that doesn't mean that ko hasn't become a cliquey circlejerk of the hugest proportions. out of the sub 100 people who actually regularly interact with the site, a vast majority of them are just straight up the rejects from FP who never actually made it outside once the site fell and got a life. i thought the community might get better once some of those folks grew up a bit, but they just kinda shut out everyone who wasn't the most miserable prick possible. even I thought Uncle Jim went overboard with the way he was arguing during the KO Meltdown (TM) but losing him was the straw that broke the camel's back. no one else on the site has even the most remote sense of community management and the mods are about as limp wristed as it's ever been. looking @ site engagement stats online, that's starting to reflect in unique hits on the site too. idk if you lot saw tetra the lead webdev's thread about site stats, but there's definitely a good reason he purposefully omitted the total user statistic.
just wanted to poke my head in and say while I think some of you take the red pill shit too far, the general sentiment of ko being a sinking ship and a total boys club at this point is dead on. what a waste of what could've been a decent enough site, not many places outside of social media where you can talk to euros or asian folk about world news from their point of view w/o it being drowned out by a bunch of white murrican kids preaching from the ivory tower. back on FP that used to be the best shit
