I didn't think to check in on Knockout. Going to get some screenshots later of good rage before the FBI have to close the place down. Novella-esq fed posting was always an issue there.

One of my highlights of when I used to game like 15-16 years ago, is SRSRPing forcing people to drink bleach and perma kill their characters as an obvious troll in those cringey half life RPs.

Those guys were prototroons and degenerate furries I fucking loved this game.

I was already over it but them putting it on steam workshop was the last nail in the coffin for me and I had no idea cringe ass Garry was even still alive.

Garry is an Eldritch Manlet who paved the way for so much grooming and trooning and weird furry pedo shit. That game was ALWAYS degenerate as fuck.

god can the far-left go five minutes without severely over-reacting to everything? sure an assassination attempt on a US presidential candidate is a fairly big deal but the sky isn't going to immediately start falling. Sometimes it almost feels like they want shit to escalate and a civil war to break out. Most people I know see news like this and say "Wow yeah that's kinda crazy. Well, anyway..." and go on with their lives. These people live in constant fear of their own making.

God it's so fucking funny to watch these faggots fumble over themselves. They dig themselves a hole deeper and deeper every single day, and they're too paranoid to realize they're doing it.

That said I genuinely wish I could have a conversation with a few of them. In their psychotic echo chamber you can't really have any meaningful discussion. I wish I could just impart a new perspective on one or two of them. Just help them see the world from even a slightly different angle and help to pull them out of a tailspin. Maybe that is a fool's errand though.

They are literally programmed to shut down if they can't dogpile. They have zero ability to see the world any differently.

Unfortunate to hear. You've piqued my curiosity though. Do you have examples of them shutting down? Sounds like it'd be a good story.
Or is it just that general kind of spineless type that touts "be gay do crime" but has a panic attack when told to clean up the trash in their room?

I've been lurking this thread for a while. You were former FP, right?

Not him but I think most of us are former FP users who were active back in the day, and just keep checking out the current rotting corpse that is Knockout just out of sheer bewilderment at how bad it's gotten and the fact it's even still around.

I think at this point if you're an active user on there you've completely bent the knee to their insanity. There is literally no room for a dissenting opinion.

Former FP (since 2008) and KO. Spent a lot of my time in the politics and news sections.

I don't have examples because it's just been so fucking long ago. But it's well past general spineless. It's been active "protect the hive" territory for years. If they can't dogpile, they either try to get you banned for bad faith or block you. You'll never get them to genuinely consider any other worldview than their own.

The fact "bad faith" is even allowed as a ban reason is proof enough the moderation is terrible and inconsistent.

Bad faith is inherently subjective, and basically boils down to this user disagrees with me in a way I don't like, and don't feel like actually discussing. It has no actual objective criteria and is entirely based on how upset the moderator is. It literally only exists to silence dissenting opinions.

It's been a long time since I posted there but getting into arguments with KO users is a fools errand. They were some of the most closed-minded and stubborn people I've ever had the misfortune of interacting with and I can only assume that it's gotten worse by this point. You'd have better luck using a chocolate kettle than you would changing their minds.
