Foucault has a lot to answer for.

They left out these lines:

* Where is the closest restaurant?

* Do you serve hamburgers here?

*You do want to share your lunch with me doctor, don't you?

The boilerplate response to such cases is:

"The doctor-patient relationship is predicated on trust (citations 1,2,3....). I can see from your list of questions that you have little trust in my expertise. Therefore, I suggest that for the benefit of your well-being that you seek another health care provisioner, someone you can trust, like the ice-cream man or the pizza guy."

This nonsense. Has anybody seen this?

This woman was over 450 lbs, and went on holiday. When she was coming home, none of the european airlines could fly her safely.

Flight 1: Could not be buckled in.

Flight 2: Weighed too much for both the wheelchair and the skylift elevator

Flight 3: THEY CALLED THE FUCKING FIRE BRIGADE AND THEY COULDN'T BOARD HER AFTER HALF AN HOUR.

And what happens? She dies there, because they chose not to seek medical help for this woman's multiple obesity related illnesses while they waited for a flight that could accommodate them.

And now the husband is trying to sue the airlines, because obviously it's their fault she died. What.

No. This lady should not have been on a freaking Eurotrip to begin with. 450 lbs, one leg, diabetes, and god knows what else. The world is not obligated to see to your comfort if you are that size and health.

Why don't they just refuse to accommodate passengers above a certain weight?

It's dangerous for everyone involved. Just tell them to GTFO.

"Most people who try to lose weight end up gaining it. Clearly this means it's physically impossible. I'd rather gain weight on purpose tyvm."

That lack of personal accountability is stunning.

He's suing for racism because European airlines aren't adapted for Amerifats.

I think if you're someone who makes a living keeping people alive, you're entitled to say something when the person in front of you has size Double D pancake tits on their back.

LOL there is no such thing as obesity-related illnesses. Thin people have them too amirite?

So, according to science, fat people are fat because they are stupid. It all makes sense.
This seems to be the original paper, if anyone is interested.

To be fair, single time-point (cross-sectional) studies do not infer cause and effect. It could be that stupid makes you fat, or fat makes you stupid, or something yet uninvestigated makes you both fat and stupid.

Given the amount of exercise and portion-control that I have to do to keep from being a fatass, I fucking hate all of this shit. Getting old sucks. Being fat while you're young is fucking stupid.

I remember that. Jesus Christ, I wouldn't have thought she'd be cleared to fly in the first place. Even if she hadn't been obese, I would imagine such severe health problems would've been an issue.
Couldn't they have fucking traveled to Austria if they didn't trust Hungarian doctors? They weren't that far from the border, IIRC
Stupidity should be a secondary cause of death here.

An SJW/intersectional feminist online magazine called Wear Your Voice has an article about how to make non-problematic new year's resolutions and this is the section on weight based resolutions with the photo they used for that section below. Italics added by me.

"Drop the “New Year, New You!” garbage, when all it means is “New Year, Same Old Body Shame.” You can do whatever you want with your body. You are valid just the way you are. You can be sexy, happy, adventurous, whatever you want to be at absolutely any size. In 2017, stop counting calories and drop anybody in your life who isn’t on board with that. Interrupt people when they talk about their diets; tell them that it is boring. Tell them that you are breaking free from the idea that you have to align your life and your mind to a rigid set of rules that only exist to discipline desire and limit possibility. Be wildly yourself. Do what you want. Maybe you want to wear a bikini. Maybe you want to sunbathe naked. Whatever it is that you’ve been made to believe you could do “if only you lost weight,” break up with that lie for good by doing it now. New Year, No Bullshit."

"No bullshit" yet you can be healthy at ABSOLUTELY ANY size? It pisses me off because they are right that fad diets like paleo and the cereal diet don't work but that doesn't mean having a healthy balanced diet according to the food guide, pyramid etc. in your country isn't a good thing.

What does eating a healthy balanced diet limit? Your possibility of not being able to fit into a standard airplane seat? What does annoyingly interrupting your friends when they tell you personal stuff about their diet and then put them down by calling them boring do to help the "cause" of fat acceptance?

Why don't SJWs care even one bit about winning people over?

TL;DR: It's the current yr so stop trying to improve your life through healthy habits and behaviors.

Because taking another hit off of the crack-pipe of moral indignation gives a more immediate benefit.

Everyone wants to feel better, no one wants to get better.

"...Maybe you want to die at age 40 from congestive heart failure. Or perhaps you're in the market for being crippled due to crushed ankles and knees and spend the second half of your life on a Rascal Scooter. You can do all of these things and more, AND make your more health-minded friends hate your fat, stinking guts!"
