I'm having flashbacks to MamaMax, like does this guy actually think that this is all real/really matters? That he's an elite hacker for finding somone's public music information with his name on his music (same way he was doxxed btw) and think that that's some kind of elite social engineering hacking? It's made me completely reevaluate his content does he like actually think he's not just larping?

I think this is a major reason why everything online feels gay. People are so irony poisoned that doing something out there and different, or doing something you think is cool in spite of others, is just dunked on, EXCEPT for protected classes. This made it so that the gayest most actually cringe side of the internet has been posting pure homo sloppa nontent for years with no one calling it out as gay.

But the internet seems to be healing. I got in an argument with some ESL on the Finals recently and was called retarded, which everyone was too afraid to do for a long time. It made me smile.

Where he went wrong was crossing the streams.

If he published video schizoposts and hardware reviews, and slapfought on Twitter, it'd be easier to say "oh, OK, Twitter flaming is this weird dude's hobby." He wouldn't come across as overly invested in a fight that takes so many footnotes for a normie (like me) to understand.

"Izzat" as a subject would have done so much better if he had started with the forbidden "what is izzat" subject, how it's substance and group consensus over reality, then made the comparison to the (online) left. There are plenty of people who don't know what izzat is, and it's an important concept--and immediately using it to describe rich white leftists would defang any "omg racist" argument.

AFAIK Flesh's video audience is people who want to be explained things by a weird dude who doesn't get a lot of sunlight. He brought his Twitter feud to that audience without providing his usual level of explanation, and because it's a Twitter feud it's hard to research and who wants to?

Hell, even admitting something made you have an actual emotional reaction - not a virtue signal reaction, but like someone pissed YOU off as a person or hurt YOUR actual feelings - people have been trained so hard to never ever ever act like that's true that we're just used to people insecurely, yet very transparently, pretending they're unbothered to save face.

Watching someone unabashedly admit to being pissed off on a personal level is almost refreshing.
