For right wing users: What is your opinion on this quote frequently used by the left by lyndon johnson?

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

I frequently see this quote used by leftists in the US to demonize Whites who vote Republican as voting against their interests. What is your opinion/rebuttal to it?

Sounds like a made up quote, to project their loathing and self hatred.

The whole “Wypipo vote against their own interests!” Is just leftist cope from people so far removed from right of center voters, that they have no idea what “their interests” are.

And when you straight up explain to them that (for example) stopping a flood of illegal inmigrants is more in tune with your interests, than preventing tax cuts, they’ll just tune you out and haughtily exclaim that you’re WRONG and don’t know your own interests.

President lyndon johnson was the one who made the quote, a lot of leftists claim the tax cuts would exclusively benefit the wealth or that Trump's tariff plan would and deregulation plans would exclusively benefit the wealthy over the working class.

In general, it is true that people love to join groups dedicated to holding others in contempt, and it is true that these groups commonly come to be with malicious intentions, but the quote says nothing in regards to the factual contents of racist belief, who knows? It might as well be that the worst cracker is in fact better than the best nigger.
What i reflect on the quote is the fact multicultural societies often have its members from different backgrounds pitted against each other.

Well that's how the planter class ruled the South for 150 years before the war. Kept the white trash from being too unhappy that they were white trash by making sure they knew they were better than niggers

I've never heard this one before, but i'm gonna say hell yeah

and of course you can replace white/colored with any theoretically opposed group and grift your way to high heaven

This strikes me as one of these statements that makes not much sense and mostly just betrays the contempt of the one making it.

left vs right debate are a waste of time you can write a detailed rebuttal and nobody is going to change their mind, just ignore it their days are numbered 😎

I don't have to think I'm better than everyone around me to lock the doors to my house.
I don't have to think I'm better than everyone around me not to give all my money to strangers.
I don't have to think I'm better than anyone at all to want voter I.D. and secure elections.
I don't need to think I'm better than a black man to not want him to have a leg up for being born non-white.
I don't need to think I'm better than you to know that you're being disingenuous, and think you're clever, with this trite horseshit.

But most important of all I don't need to think I'm smarter than anyone to know that a lot of our problems are caused by over-centralization. Which is one of a number of reasons I don't consider myself a conservative despite being right-wing. There's a lot of different positions of the right other than "conservative" and "gas the jews", maybe you should look into them.

I wouldn't be quoting LBJ in a positive manner. Its true, but not in the way they intend for it to be.

This is the same LBJ who set up the Great Society to make black people a captive underclass and try to secure a Democrat hegemony around the same time the kids indoctrinated by the Frankfurt School were coming into their own. This has nothing to do with political wings in America, it was the next phase of the rootless cosmopolitans.

Furthermore, he was talking about members of his own party, the Democrats. They were always the ones sowing division, now they don’t even pretend to hide it. To then associate it with right wingers (they want shit like “everyone is equal before the law”, which is the most racist thing imaginable) is in its own way downright hilarious.

LBJ was a nasty hick who should have been shot along with scumbag Kennedy, but unlike "Jack" he at least died slowly and in pain vs. having his brains blown out to paint the Presidential limousine with viscera. Wish that kind of suffering could have happened to whoremaster Kennedy.

Looking down on others is the root and origin of our failed society. No work is dishonest and anyone who does honest work to the best of their abilities is your equal.

His chili recipe sucks ass too.

Leftists fail to grasp the concept that people can care about more than one thing at a time. (Or just get pissy when you care about "unacceptable" issues)
You can be very racist while also hating richfags screwing you over. In fact you often do see just that in rightwing circles especially today.
