I've recently discovered my interest in weird crime documentaries and especially found footage.
There is something eerie about actual watching vlogs of madmen and even to witness their decline into insanity (like 20+ hours of tape found after the Ricardo Lopez suicide).

Since this is the internet, there have to be quite a few of these tapes floating about.

So far I'm aware of:

The case of Leonard Lake and Charles Ng is fascinating. They took footage of them interacting with their victims after they kidnapped but before they killed them. Pretty fucked up.

What always amazed me about these is if they hadn't gone on to do what they did, they just come across as silly teenage edgelords like people you might have known yourself in high school.

I guess that could be said for most of these people, even Ricardo Lopez seems fairly normal up until the point where he paints his face and inhales a .38 special.
Even Ricky Rodriguez seemed like a normal guy as he casually talked about wanting to go on vacation literally hours before he stabbed someone and shot himself.

Someone who seemed rather more nuts is Jared Lee Loughner.
He recorded a tour of his campus shortly before killing a dozen people at a convenience store, his commentary is properly mental:

Should be right up our alley, this guy was a brony edgelord and a lolcow even before he went on a killing spree.

Ricky Rodriguez's video is such an amazing contrast to the autistic manifestos of Eliot Rodger and Randy Stair. Rodriguez kept trying to change the subject away from the horrific sexual abuse he experienced, while the lolcow killers would rant about every perceived slight.

Ricky and even Ricardo were much more likeable as far as nutters are concerned, that is true.
Ricky seemed to be a good guy who went through literal hell for almost 2 decades of his life and had severe PTSD from all the sexual abuse he witnessed and experienced.
I've recently sat through the first of Randy Stair's "drive" videos and this guy is your typical 15-year-old Columbine fanboy edgelord, except that Randy was 24....

Both he and Elliott Rodger were extremely spoiled and sheltered Brats who thought the world should revolve around them.
Randy is definitely the more autistic one.
