People are trying it out and it appears to be true. I'll be checking it out on PC and see if it works right. Imagine actually porting over a full better, classic renowned game inside another game not many people cared about to begin with. Could of saved so much money just porting over TS2 and getting the bucks that way.

I've been wanting a Nightdive-esque port of TS2 for ages, drop the other game and you've got a deal.

You'd better get it before they raise the price back up.

Edit:
Yep sounds about right for the ban happy discord faggots lelz.
Would fit the bill of the same retards who would chuck the Holy grail in a fucking dumpster and think nothing of it.
Fuck them.

They likely hid it so they didnt have to troon it out.

Look at the game its stuck inside.....

Ah shit, this means that Homefront 2 was actually like ten times better than everybody thought.
It was sunk because the first game was terrible, I was reading about 2 on Wikipedia and was surprised to learn it was actually a reboot with an alternate history scenario to make a NK take over of the US more plausible, which made it a lot more interesting, but the marketing of the game was never clear what it was about and that it wasn't a direct sequel to the first game.

For a supposedly patriotic game series, it was actually very pussified (same as the Red Dawn reboot) in that it shied away from the original plan of using China and had to settle for NK as a stand-in.

I think Homefront 1 was always about NK, but you're right about the Red Dawn reboot.

However Homefront 2 if you read up on the backstory so clearly wants to be about a Chinese take over, it imagines an alternate history where NK is basically China in all but name.

Too bad they didn't have the balls just to make it China because when looked at from that point of view the plot of Homefront 2 is actually quite eerie and plausible, basically tl;dr American society collapses economically, China (or "NK") calls in our debts to them and sends in an invasion force to basically strip mine the entire country of anything of worth.

I've read AARs on the game where people involved in the creation admit to switching from China to NK because "the US and China are so close economically that the story isn't believable and also political reasons" aka political reasons.

Well having actually followed the tutorial and used the code IT IS IN FACT LEGIT

Know why it was hidden? (the entire port wasn't bug tested besides the 2-3 levels normally playable)

Start up the last level immediately after entering the story unlocking code.

See it crash the game a few seconds after the cutscene when it tries to spawn the aliens.

Edit:

Having tried the other levels like return to planet X, any cutscene with the time traveling aliens crashes the game and the TTA are all darker textured in an A pose when they spawn. (probably why all the levels arent available by default. no bug testing alongside some wierd texture oddities on control panels and shit.)

Edit:
THIS IS NOT A FULL PORT.
Just the usual discord faggotry by retards trying to act superior without verifying their claims before running their mouth.

Some levels like Neo tokyo are not actually in the game and cause an exception error (crashes the game upon loading) *again no bug testing besides the 2-3 levels by default,

Was about to rate this late, but then I noticed the words "Full game." I don't have this particular game, but I have heard of the first two levels being stuck in some random arcade cabinet or something to that effect. If the whole game is there, with multiplayer, map-maker, and arcade leagues are there, then that sounds like the best Easter Egg in my book.

Seriously, if you've got $20 and like Timesplitters, buy this game right now. If the next news story isn't 'Homefront climbs sales charts after Easter egg found', the following one can't be 'full Timesplitters remaster announced'. It's dumb, but that's how these things work.

And suddenly, interest for Homefront and TimeSplitters just spiked.

THQ is on some meta shit.

Buy one, get one free.

For what works, its pretty solid as a port. Shame you cant actually finish most levels without the game crashing.

I wouldn't be surprised if another dev, emboldened by full Twitter-talk of intentional leaks, let's some code slip. I bet most of those crashes would take seconds to fix with code access.

All it takes is a few lines of code and some syntax error correcting.
