Rabat - The last court documents containing 167 associates of convicted pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein are set to be released, according to recent reports.
Four years after Epstein’s suicide in prison, court documents including the full list of his associates are set to be made public in the coming months following multiple requests from media organizations, the British news outlet The Daily Mail reported earlier this week.
The sex offender was known to associate himself with the US’ high society and beyond. His list of connections includes celebrities like actors Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker. Epstein is also known to have advised and consulted Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk.
The court material is expected to hold information about at least “one public figure,” who is thought to be a member of the British royal family, namely Prince Andrew. The prince is accused of having sex with one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Roberts, who was underage then.
In addition to Prince Andrew, the document is speculated to include information about Alan Dershowitz, a lawyer and former professor at Harvard Law School. The two are among other individuals who are referred to in the documents as “alleged perpetrators” or individuals accused of “serious wrongdoing,” the report indicates.
Other high-profile individuals speculated to be on the list of the disgraced billionaire’s associates include Bill Gates, Donald Trump, and Bill Clinton. However, adds The Daily Mail’s report, it is unclear if they will be mentioned in the soon-to-be-published court documents. The documents are the last to be made public in the case from the New York federal court since Epstein committed suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking.
First presented to court in 2015, the documents were part of a defamation case filed by Roberts against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s girlfriend, and associate who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking and recruiting minors for the pedophile.
The lawsuit was settled in 2017 under seal. However, documents have been gradually released to the public at the request of media organizations.
